Stayed for three nights on a trip. Stairs were super narrow and hard to get larger luggages up, and there are no staff present after 6pm or before 9am. Our flight arrived late at night so we had no help, and the self check-in had issues for us.

Rooms were super small, unlike most photos posted. All beds were twin beds, and we had two of them put next to each other to create a bigger one. Bathroom was probably about 8x2 ft, also super small with a tiny shower and sink. The outlets in our room were also mostly behind our pillows, which were pretty inconvenient. Lights were on the dimmer side in the room. Floor felt dirty, had to wear slippers that we brought on our own to feel comfortable. There weren’t many accommodations provided, just a water jug with free drinks provided in the lobby. Body and hand wash provided as well as towels, but no shampoo or conditioner. Room only had a tiny trash can in the bathroom. Overall there wasn’t a lot of space to put open luggages or store shoes. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable despite being small and living was bearable.

Location was one of the better parts of the stay, close to downtown and the canal as well.

Generally a decent stay but not worth the price. Had little to no interaction with staff/service so I cannot rate it.

We had a great stay at Hotel HEGRA; the staff were warm & welcoming, our family room with four beds was perfect for travelling with the kids in town & the location is amazing for wandering the interesting independent shops & restaurants/cafes along the canals. There's even an art installation from the Amsterdam Light Show right outside the front door. I would highly recommend a stay here whilst exploring Amsterdam & all it has to offer.

Lovely, friendly staff. Accommodated us very nicely when we came to visit Amsterdam to see my partner’s Amsterdam Light Festival sculpture. They gave us the best views in the house! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

“I had an absolutely fantastic stay at hotel Hegra. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could ask for. The bed was super comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep.

The hotel’s location was perfect—close to key attractions, restaurants, or transportation.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be back!”

Lovely small hotel, excellent location and service. Very interesting old building. Comfortable beds, nice shower. They have  kept our luggage before check in and then have brought it to the room. So kind. Paolo is gorgeous. The other staff also. Thanks a lot. Recommend the hotel for sure.
