It's location is excellent right next to canal. During our stay in Amsterdam one day we visited the venue for a show but unfortunately it was full. I think it was a mistake on our part that we did not book the tickets in advance. The theatre from outside was looking great. May be next time !!

Visited to see NDT “Do Not Run, Fly”. It was such an incredible dance performance of three completely contrasting pieces. The opera house itself is wonderful. Acoustics, seating, views from inside over Amsterdam as sun goes down, clean, lovely cafe/bar. Had a nice coffee and biscuit. Furthermore they had reasonable price tickets. Orchestra top notch. A very nice experience.

I have been to ballet performances at the Stopera before. Yesterday, I attended the performance of "Do Not Run Fly." It was stunning. The dancers delivered an impressive piece of choreography. The set design completed the experience.

Furthermore, the orchestra was amazing. Occasionally, I closed my eyes to fully enjoy the music. It really resonated that way.

Our next visit will be in June. We will be seeing Stravinsky's fairy tale. I'm really looking forward to it.
