Among the best seafood restaurants I’ve been to, hands down. A friend had presented this place to me as a must stop in Amsterdam, and I thought they were exaggerating a bit. Turns out they were entirely right.

The night had a rough start as some customers were really keen on having a fight over their ‘right’ place in the queue to check-in, but thankfully that was handled very gracefully by Julia from the staff.

We had good recommendations from the staff on drinks while waiting, and the experience of choosing your fish with the staff’s guidance was great. We had seen some reviews on how the pricing system is confusing, but we were shown the pricing of the items we picked as we picked each of them. Very transparent.

The food itself was divine. The yellow fish tuna as an appetiser was surreal, the octopus was delicious, and the scallops and the turbot were divine. The wine they recommended paired perfectly. The sides were also amazing, and even the bread and butter were also distinctive.

In short, I would recommend this place to anyone in Amsterdam looking for an incredible seafood restaurant accompanied by a fun experience.

It is nice and vibrant place with an interesting concept of going to markets, so your fish can be freshly made. Small improvement feedback: It would be helpful if there was a menu, at least with side dishes and starters, like you have for deserts. It was hard to remember and then chose from all the variety the restaurant serves.

In general, we have enjoyed the evening and the quality was really high. The fish was tender and well prepared. Side dishes were tasty and perfectly pairing with the main dish.

Small ice creams, as a final touch, were unexpected, but positively surprised us!

Such a great restaurant in yorden neighbourhood. Worth the walk.  An expirience to remember: fresh fish, scalops, shrimps etc, at  your choosing. Very very tasty, chicy and great wines alongside. Prices are reasonable for this quality. Make a reservation in advance.

Very nice fish restaurant with good concept: you pick your fish from the market and it will be nicely cooked for you. You can decide the cooking style : raw, grilled, fried... Very good choice. We had a perfectly grilled sea bar, tasty and crunchy. We also had scallops. They were nice and fresh byt came with a cold sweet sauce and were quickly cold so it was a bit of a pity. Nice service and warm industrial environment. Very good mashed potatoes and aubergines.

What a great concept this restaurant has! All works super smooth, the staff is friendly and engaged. Food is great, we had a couple of oysters, tuna, red bars, nice bottle of wine. I am very pleased with the experience and will certainly recommend to anyone who is into fishmarket concept
