What a beautiful museum! I’d definitely recommend the audio guide, which I felt added detail and brought life to Van Gogh’s life. I loved to hear about his family, especially his brother Theo, and Vincent’s battles with his mental health. The art was beautiful - I loved the almond blossom painting best - although be aware that Starry Night is not here, it’s in New York.

We reserved the first slot in the morning and it was a good thing because the museum became busy with people soon after.

There is a hi-tech locker available for free at the ground floor.

The audio guide was very useful. I highly recommend getting this. Try to listen if it works well first before going in, to avoid having to line up again to have the audio guide exchanged.

This is one of the most unforgettable museums I’ve ever been to. It is well organized, presented in a manner that is thoughtful, keeps the crowd and traffic moving with enough space. The most impressive and impactful part of the presentation is how we are able to glimpse into the life of Vincent, as a person, not just as an artist and his very close relationship with his brother.

His writings are about as important as his artworks and the museum ensures that we are able to see his humanity and frailty.

I spent a good half day in here and it was well worth every minute.

I really enjoyed my visit to this museum. I didn’t really know Van Gogh life story and this museum impressed me with how great the story telling is. There are a lot of his art works in this museum. You can easily spend 2-3 hours here.

I bought my tickets two months in advance, and I can honestly say this has become one of my favorite museums. The way it tells Van Gogh’s story helped me gain a deeper understanding of his life and how tragic it really was. That said, I kindly ask people to be mindful of others—please don’t block the signs (which are already quite small) just to take poorly photos. Let’s all respect the space and experience of those around us. The museum shop’s got a ton of cool stuff—definitely worth a stop!
