We spent 6 days in Amsterdam and stayed the entire stay at The Jan Luyken. Our stay was wonderful. The building and rooms were very nice and well appointed. The location was excellent and was very relaxed yet accessible to museums and tours. We cannot say enough about the staff. The entire staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The breakfast and evening snacks were delicious. We would recommend staying here to anyone who wants to stay in Amsterdam.

Such an amazing boutique hotel. The service and staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Great breakfast and afternoon snacks. The back patio was a lovely spot to sit with a glass of wine after a day of exploring. Really nice touch to have drinks/wine/beer self-serve all day. A beautiful neighborhood that’s easy to get to all of the main areas of Amsterdam. Definitely will stay here again!

Staying at the Jan Luyken made my stay in Amsterdam so enjoyable. The location on a quiet street a mere 5 min walk  from the Rijks museum and the boarding site for a canal cruise made it an ideal location. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast they provide is delicious and healthy and a good choice available to any palate. The rooms by some standards may be considered on the small side but they are very clean, well maintained and have the most comfortable mattress ever. I loved my “Snug”. This is a little gem of a hotel and I will be highly recommending it to all my family and friends.

My husband and I loved staying at the Jan Luyken hotel during our 4 night stay in Amsterdam in September.  Our room with balcony was spacious, clean and quiet.  The location of the hotel is perfect, especially if you plan to visit the nearby museums.  The staff is friendly and helpful.  They made dinner reservations for us several times.  And of course you can't forget the 24/7 open bar that is gratis, the delicious breakfast and happy hour appetizers.  This hotel is a gem!

I have stayed in many hotels all over the world. At Aman hotels, Four Seasons, and other boutique hotels. One’s half the price of this hotel were 3x better. This ranks one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. To start, the bathroom was horrible. It flooded the worst of any hotel bathroom I’ve ever stayed in. Additionally, none of the hand soaps or products dispensed anything due to the horrible design of the pump. Secondly, the wall colors were very unappealing. The rooms were super cold and only the downstairs lobby felt nice. Overall, while the location was perfect, I feel that the design impacted my stay in Amsterdam because it felt more cold instead of warm. I would not choose to stay here again.
