Lovely restaurant with loads of ambiance: a former cattle shed with the little farmhouse across the garden, there is inside and outside eating. The inside is very atmospheric with high wooden beams and a lovely warm fire in one corner. Food is delicious as are the fruit drinks. Really good value and service is charming and efficient. Great venue for parties or small weddings.

My boyfriend, who has a nut allergy, mentioned it when making the reservation for Valentine’s Day undisclosed 4-course menu. However, three out of four dishes contained nuts, instead of providing alternatives they simply removed elements that played a significant role (pistachio crumble; butter sauce with hazelnut). While the food itself was well-prepared and flavorful, the lack of consideration for his allergy was disappointing. In the future, I hope the restaurant will take greater care to accommodate such restrictions, especially when providing a secret menu.
