I actually had coffee in an Amsterdam coffee shop! I had coffee while my friends partook in the joys of Amsterdam life. I didn't get high, but the coffee had me going on for the next few hours. It was good. This is a non-crowded location and lives up to its reputation. The interior is clean and tidy, the toilet is immaculate, and seats comfortable. The staff is friendly, which is always a good thing, especially when you're having coffee. Judging my the reactions of my fiends, the quality of their stuff was great, too! Oh, and a really short walk to Rembrandtplein means you'll be happy.

Let me tell you something about this place: I wish I could move in!!! When I lived in Amsterdam this was our go-to spot. It is CLASSY, the service is top notch and of course the goods are, well, the best!!!' back when I went (2007) they had a Roor and they would clean it for you everytime. my sis went recently, she said the roor was no more:( some messed up American frat boy probably broke it. :( Also, I have never had such delectable coffee. I really do love this place...totally can't wait to go back. This place is my heaven !!!

Not sure when these other reviewers were there, but it was packed when I visited - the only seat free was in the narrow doorway, so I was basically in the way of people coming and going. This spot did have a Volcano vaporizer, though. The staff asked me to move to a table w/o one, and then didn't give me any rolling papers or anything else to smoke with. Snarky and unhelpful service, they talked to me like I was a typical clueless tourist. I'm not a fan.

Certainly among the best selection of hash in town. Americans come to A-dam and smoke the weed when America has better weed than A-dam. The hash is what you smoke in A-dam. This is one of the nicer places to smoke in town although that isn't saying much. In truth, pot smokers are notoriously cheap. Some will come in and pull out a joint they purchased someplace else. These incidences turn the coffee shop environment unfriendly. Even this place.

Did not enjoy experience. Staff was very unfriendly, got mad at my friend for having a reusable water bottle. Cool venue, but needs a staff change.
