Stopped in for a quick bite before my AM flight and enjoyed a bowl of Chinese Congee porridge. Eggs, onion, peanuts and grilled onions were provided to add flavor. They served a nice pot of earl grey tea too. The interior is modern and the service was quick.

I tried an Asian brasserie & bar inside AMS airport for lunch today and it was okay if I round up. Service was okay too. You order from a tablet and they serve you once a dish is ready. It took close to twenty minutes to get my entire order. I ordered an espresso martini (which was sweet and weak), a Coke Zero, a bottle of Tsing Tao (not bad), some chukawakame, bento deluxe, beef dimsum, and teriyaki salmon. The bento box was not impressive at all, while dipping in soy sauce, the roll of sushi fell apart in the soy sauce. Nothing in the bento box was very good. The salmon was quite sweet which I don't like. The dimsum was on the plain side. Sad that the drinks were better than the food.

My friend and I had a long layover in the Amsterdam airport so we decided to try this spot because the food looked good in the display. We tried the beef rendang and while it didn't taste like beef rendang, it was quite tasty! It tasted like red curry and peanut sauce. For €25 though, it was very expensive and did not come with much beef. The chunks were small and only about 2 of them I'd even classify as chunks of meat. It was mostly sauce. The other issue with this spot is it is very slow - slow to seat you, slow to give you a menu, slow to give you the bill, etc. It feels like you're annoying them every time you ask for one of these.

I had a 10 hour layover in Amsterdam and decided to try this place out twice, once for breakfast having sushi and then later for an early dinner when I had ramen. The ramen was just ok, but the sushi was pretty darn good. All in all I enjoyed trying an Asian restaurant in Amsterdam

We had a 9 hour layover in Schipol, so we had to entertain ourselves with things to do. Eating of course is number one, so after walking around the terminals, we saw Kebaya, looked at the menu and decided to check it out. We got seated quickly. I like the system, as you scan the qr code in order to get the menu, which you can order from and pay right away. We ordered the Udon plate, as well as the ramen. Honestly, it was good, ramen could have used more noodles, but overall it was ok. The udon plate was really good, so we were pleasantly surprised. It was shocking due to the overwhelming amount of negative reviews, maybe we just came in at the right date/time, who knows. But we had a good experience overall.

Decent airport food. We shared the spring rolls and I had the Malaysian chicken skewers. These had a tasty peanut sauce on them and came with bok Choi and rice. I'd probably stop here for a quick meal if at this airport again.

With only an hour to spare before my next flight, I'm glad I had a chance to eat at Schiphol airport because I didn't on my way TO India. Returning home was a nice way to welcome non-Indian food back into my diet. Looking around, every restaurant was enticing, but I picked the one right next to my gate, Kebaya. The to-go sushi actually looked pretty fresh, and I was going to grab one of those but decided last minute to have a seat and try to relax. Love the process of ordering food, where you can take your time scrolling through the menu and making your selections on an iPad. The wait staff just helped to facilitate this. I did end up getting sushi as well as a beer to wash it down. What a delightful meal! Especially because I'm used to subpar airport food, this tasty sushi was a surprise. Customer service was wonderful as well. I wish I had more time to explore other spots to eat and drink, but I'm glad the one meal I had in Amsterdam was a memorable one.

Jamie W. and I were back at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport after a week and a half in Spain. Man, we had a good time. Paella. Jamon. Grilled seafood. Sangria. Notice how I didn't mention Gaudi, Picasso or Catalan independence. No, all I seem to remember is the food. When we arrived at Schiphol, it meant we were on the very last leg of our vacation, so I decided we needed to have something unique for our last meal in Europe. We strolled on the shop-heavy Holland Blvd. getting in the way of passengers racing to their connecting flights, and then we saw this semi-empty expansive Asian fusion place. I figured this would be the place even though Jamie was hankering for something more American in his belly. With no staff in sight, I decided to park it at one of the booths and immediately perused the menu on the iPad left at each table (photo: http://bit.ly/2BiORku). Even though it was exorbitantly priced, the 17.50€ Breakfast Bento Box appealed to me. It consisted of a couple of veggie rolls, a couple of California rolls, chukawakame salad, and a Japanese-style omelet. Probably should have got a bowl of rice and called it a meal, but I was on vacation so I gave myself one last splurge. I guess. It's food at the airport. You know you'll be dropping dollars for a little portion of food. It looks like a fancy sit down restaurant, but it isn't. A server will bring you an ipad and you'll order from it. It took a while for the drinks to reach the table. The sushi we ordered also took more than 20 minutes after we received our drinks. It was an uneventful food experience. Beautiful window seating, clean restaurant, and a great location not far from our gate. With an hour and a half wait, it was a nice spot to just decompress. Other than that, there might be other places with slightly better food.
