Zelf vind ik een review van een restaurant minder geloofwaardig als er alleen maar positieve punten in staan. Dus ik dacht: Wat kan ik nu verzinnen als kritiekpunt. Ik heb zelfs twee puntjes gevonden. Ten eerste de muziekkeuze, die was niet mijn smaak. Is dat kritiek op het restaurant? Niet per se. Ten tweede: Er werd niet gevraagd of we nog een broodje met boter wilden. Natuurlijk hadden we daar zelf om kunnen vragen en dan hadden we het vast ook gekregen. Die broodjes of beter gezegd het broodje was fantastisch, zo knapperig, zo smaakvol en de boter, licht gezouten boter uit Normandië was heerlijk, daar kan geen kruidenboter tegenop.
Voor het overige kan ik alleen maar positief zijn, van het hartelijke welkom tot en met het dito afscheid. Iedereen die hier werkt was vriendelijk, aardig, precies de juiste toon. We voelden ons erg welkom. De inrichting is rustig de stoelen zijn comfortabel en de tafels staan niet te dicht bij elkaar, de verlichting is goed en sfeervol. Vanuit het grootste deel van de zaak kun je de keukenbrigade zien werken. We hebben genoten van het groot menu, aangevuld met het signatuur gerecht en voor het dessert nog kaas. De amuses legden de lat van onze verwachtingen hoog. Dat was geen probleem, zo bleek. Elk gerecht van het menu was 100% raak. Perfecte bereidingen, uitgesproken smaken, perfect in balans. De keuze van de begeleidende wijnen hebben we overgelaten aan het restaurant en daar hebben we geen spijt van gehad. Wat een verrassende wijnen hebben we geproefd. Meerdere wijnen hebben we genoteerd op een lijstje om misschien zelf eens aan te schaffen.
Restaurant Affect staat per direct op ons lijstje van zaken die we vaker bezoeken.

I personally find a review of a restaurant less credible if it only contains positive points. So I thought: What can I come up with as a point of criticism? I even found two dots. Firstly the choice of music, which was not to my taste. Is that a criticism of the restaurant? Not necessarily. Second: We were not asked if we wanted another sandwich with butter. Of course we could have asked for it ourselves and we probably would have received it. Those rolls, or rather the roll, were fantastic, so crispy, so tasty and the butter, slightly salted butter from Normandy, was delicious, no herb butter can compete with that.
For the rest I can only be positive, from the warm welcome to the ditto farewell. Everyone working here was friendly, kind, just the right tone. We felt very welcome. The decor is quiet, the chairs are comfortable and the tables are not too close together, the lighting is good and attractive. You can see the kitchen staff working from most of the shop. We enjoyed the large menu, supplemented with the signature dish and cheese for dessert. The appetizers set the bar of our expectations high. That was no problem, as it turned out. Every dish on the menu was 100% spot on. Perfect preparations, distinct flavors, perfectly balanced. We left the choice of accompanying wines to the restaurant and we did not regret it. What surprising wines we tasted. We have noted several wines on a list that you might want to purchase yourself.
Restaurant Affect is immediately on our list of places we visit more often.

We zijn heerlijk in de watten gelegd door het personeel van affect. Fijne sfeer in het restaurant. We hadden het 6 gangen menu (100 euro pp). We hadden een aperitief en daarna dronk mijn man sterk biertje en ik kleine glaasjes bijpassende wijn (wit ipv rood)
We vonden alle gerechten echt heerlijk. De amuses en de zwezerik met paling vonden we dan het minst (maar nog steeds goed). Bij de amuse vond ik de Croissants met crème fraîche wat te veel bieslook smaak hebben (ik had een uiensmaak in mijn mond die overheerste) en als het deeg wat zoeter was geweest was er misschien meer balans. Wel gewoon smakelijke amuses. Cijfer 7 terwijl de rest meer gewaardeerd werd door ons.
Het voorgerecht vond ik bijna het lekkerste gerecht!  Yellow tail in zurige dressing van kersenbloesem en Yellow tail (buik) met shiso en thaise Basilicum echt wauw!
Toen heerlijk knapperig zuurdesem broodje met gezouten boter.
Daarna coquilles met zwarte knoflook, bloemkool en walnoot. Echt herfstige smaken. Vervolgens weer een heerlijk gerecht dat wederom prachtig was opgemaakt. Kabeljauw met cantharel en saus van zolderspek (meer saus please :-))
Daarna zwezerik met paling. Lekkere combinatie maar voor mij wat te subtiele smaken, dwz de paling stal wat meer de show tov zwezerik. Prima gerecht maar misschien had ik meer verwacht. De boerderij eend met jeneverbes bospeen en sinasappel zou ik dan liever nogmaals eten. leuk erbij het Brioche broodje. Heerlijke afsluiting met Wentelteefje met vanilleparfait/aardpeer  We komen terug!

We were wonderfully pampered by the affect staff. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. We had the 6 course menu (100 euros pp). We had an aperitif and then my husband drank a strong beer and I had small glasses of matching wine (white instead of red).
We really enjoyed all the dishes. We liked the appetizers and the sweetbreads with eel the least (but still good). With the amuse, I thought the Croissants with crème fraîche had a bit too much chive flavor (I had an onion taste in my mouth that was dominant) and if the dough had been a bit sweeter there might have been more balance. Just tasty appetizers. Number 7 while the rest was more appreciated by us.
I thought the starter was almost the tastiest dish!  Yellow tail in a sour cherry blossom dressing and Yellow tail (belly) with shiso and Thai basil, really wow!
Then delicious crispy sourdough bread with salted butter.
Then scallops with black garlic, cauliflower and walnut. Really autumnal flavors. Then another delicious dish that was once again beautifully prepared. Cod with chanterelle and attic bacon sauce (more sauce please :-))
Then sweetbreads with eel. Tasty combination but the flavors were a bit too subtle for me, i.e. the eel stole the show a bit more compared to sweetbreads. Great dish but maybe I expected more. I would rather eat the farm duck with juniper berries, carrots and orange again. nice with the Brioche bun. Delicious ending with French toast with vanilla parfait/Jerusalem artichoke. We'll be back!

Hier heerlijk mogen eten, de uitgebreide kaart laten uitserveren leuke bediening en duidelijke uitleg wat we uitgeserveerd kregen, heerlijke wijntjes erbij, als met al een prima middag gehad

Gisteravond gastvrij ontvangen in restaurant Affect. Wij kozen voor het ‘groot menu’ oftewel 7-gangen verrassingen van de Chef en daarbij een passend glas wijn. Een fijne warme sfeer en service van begin tot het einde, van ontvangst tot aan het schenken van de wijnen en uitserveren van de culinaire gerechten. Elke gang was een smaakexplosie en streling tegelijkertijd! We hebben genoten en komen zeker terug!

We received a warm welcome last night in the Affect restaurant. We opted for the 'large menu' or 7-course surprises from the Chef and a matching glass of wine. A nice warm atmosphere and service from start to finish, from reception to serving the wines and serving the culinary dishes. Every course was an explosion of taste and caress at the same time! We enjoyed it and will definitely come back!

Zaterdag 2 december een fantastische avond gehad bij restaurant Affect. Wij kozen voor het ‘groot menu’ oftewel 7-gangen verrassingen en daarbij een passend glas wijn. Elke gang was werkelijk een dansje voor onze smaakpupillen! Vriendelijk/enthousiast personeel, mooie inrichting, heerlijke gerechten met heerlijke wijnen. Oftewel: alle ingrediënten voor een fantastische avond, een aanrader.

Had a fantastic evening at Affect restaurant on Saturday December 2. We opted for the 'large menu' or 7-course surprises and a matching glass of wine. Every course was truly a dance for our taste buds! Friendly/enthusiastic staff, beautiful decor, delicious dishes with delicious wines. In other words: all the ingredients for a fantastic evening, highly recommended.
