A very good restaurant indeed! Everything was delicious and the portions were quite decent for a seven-course dinner. The only thing I did not like that much was the soufflé as it lacked the fluffiness due to the addition of oranges, however the flavor was rather special with an almost pudding-like texture.

Nice restaurant
We enjoyed the 3 course menu but the are the same portions as the 5 or more course menu and I def found the portions too small

I experienced the service as pretty intense. If you are looking for a lot of attention to detail and description of your course including pointing out each micro drop on the plate.

The supposedly chocolate dessert had hardly any chocolate
They charged for the little Madeline cakes served with the coffee.

The dish with the pork belly was the best!

Amazing experience and excellent service. It is not a big restaurant but very bright and well decorated. As it gets busy, it might be a bit noisy. Tried the 5 course menu and each option was different and a cocktail of textures and flavours. Pescatarian and vegetarian options are also available. Would recommend.

We had a very nice dinner at Suzie’s & Van Aken. Parking is oké. They don’t have a parking area for the restaurant but there is ample parking space along the (busy) street on which the restaurant is located. The restaurant it self just had a remodeling done and looks fresh and light with a beautiful open kitchen. Seats are comfortable and staff very kind and attentive. Suzie runs the front of the house and is the sommelier. The menu basically is a number of surprise dishes (up to seven) but if you prefer you can order from the menu. They have an extensive wine list and do wine pairings as well. We did the pairing; some very nice wines but for me just missing maybe that “wow” feeling that you sometimes get when you drink a special wine. The wines Suzie offered did pair nicely with the food! The food itself was plenty (we did five courses) and looked really beautiful on the plate. Taste wise is was great! It has some Asian influences and was well seasoned. Best dish of the night; slow cooked pork belly! Price was right for what you get at this restaurant. Why not five stars? For me the restaurant was a bit noisy. We had to concentrate a bit more then usual to follow the conversation at our table. And the wine; great but missing that one special glass that you hope they have for their guests! But; I will definitely come back and for other foodies out there this is a bit of a hidden gem!

Because we went here during early spring I don’t know if they offer outside seating as well. If they do I would be a little worried about the road noise. People tend to drive pretty fast here.

We entered through a pathway, that would need a little trimming. We're greeted very politely and had a choice where to sit. We unfortunately choose a little drafty.   Started our 4,5 hour endeavor of fine dining.  Our 7 all in (with a deliciously chosen wine) was presented expertly by our host. All tables were occupied. The cachophony of voices made it hard to talk and understand each other, hence a lower score. Anyway if you ask, would you come again, I would answer, " yes definitely ".
