What a wonderful authentic family run restaurant with local and true simple and delicious food. I have been introduced by my dear friend Elise a local with great goody radar. We were super lucky to get a table on a Friday night. Fantastic welcome, atmosphere and truly fantastic food and wine that straddle tradition and modern tastes. We shared the anchovy toast  and loved the burger and venison. If you are visiting Oslo make this a must. Tak!

Wonderfully located at the bottom of beautiful Damstredet alley in one of the old Norwegian traditional houses, good atmosphere (although modern music, expected a more classy sound like jazz or something to resonate with the place), great kind and knowledgeable service, nice wine variety and absolutely delicious food. Portions are smaller and meant for sharing, but totally worth it. Homemade Halloumi is indeed super special, best ever. Mushrooms gnocchi was also a treat.
All in all, great experience.

I am far from the first person to find and try out this gem - but I also want to give praise to such a lovely place.

Both the food and the wine menu is great, and the staff knows their stuff. Also takes time out of their busy work days to explain to you both what you are drinking and eating.
The Mac and cheese here is famous for a reason, so do definitely check it out.

The place itself is also stunning. Dark, candles, busy and romantic. A perfect place to enjoy a date with friends or a cosy winter evening.

This place definitely fills up, so come early or book a table. I will definitely do that myself, cause I am already excited to come back!
