Very interesting and pretty unique concept, but there are couple of flaws though.

The museum is good organized and designed. There are a lot of displays which showing different norwegian musicians of various epochs.

Black metal part could be much bigger, because it is very big slice of musical culture of Norway.

You can try to play some drums, guitars, bass and synth in this museum, but these all instruments seem kind of abandoned. These are not maintained a lot of time, so almost nothing works as should.

If I had to describe it in one sentence: It's a very intimate experience with musical history. I went there on a Tuesday with my sibling, and there was no one there! It's a beautiful experience, first you can walk through at your own pace, and play instruments yourself. Really gave me a hit since I miss my guitar back home, haha.

Cool museum on Norwegian popular music, as well as a few alternative genres. It's kinda small. The highlight of the museum is the section where you can try out real instruments. Many written sections inside the museum are translated to English, but not all.

Lovely little museum about pop music.
Great to discover new artists! It's also really fun to record your own version of a list of songs, remix it, and design a new cover for it. Afterwards you can download it to your own device. Was quite fun!

Such an amazing experience! Learned so much about the Norwegian music scene and really enjoyed my visit. I loved the stations where you got to make your own songs and album cover. It’s also a great place to discover new music and it looks very hip and trendy. It’s easy to get to as well and entry is free with the OsloPass.
