We booked this restaurant expecting an upscale experience, based on its good reviews and reputation as a fish-focused spot. However, on arrival, the place felt tired, and it’s directly attached to their interactive museum, which detracts from the dining vibe. The counter displayed metal trays covered in cling film—a small detail, but one that undermines the atmosphere.

The food, however, was outstanding! We tried the snow crab sushi, smoked salmon, and baked salmon with truffle mash—all were delicious and beautifully prepared. If you’re a fan of salmon, you’ll enjoy this place, as it’s pretty much the specialty (the name is a giveaway).

Despite the fantastic food, the setting doesn’t quite do it justice. Separating the museum from the restaurant would improve the ambiance, and a fresh coat of paint along with hiding the metal trays would really elevate the experience. The menu is also quite small, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for variety.

Overall, while we loved the food, I probably wouldn’t return. The venue just doesn’t match the quality on the plate, which left us wanting more in terms of atmosphere.

Nice spot to sample some famed Norwegian salmon around the Aker Brygge area. It was definitely one of the most enjoyable meals we’ve had in Oslo due in large part to their delicious cured salmon offerings.

Super accommodating service even though we just walked in. But really best to reserve table in advance as place gets busy!

Perfect place to experience the Norwegian salmon. I went there two times. You should not miss their grilled salmon IMO. Situated at Aker Bygge, you also enjoy one of the best views of Oslo.

I had salmon here with mushroom pasta, and it was absolutely delicious😍 One of the best salmons I've ever had. There's also a museum next to the restaurant, where you can learn about how salmon are raised and their life cycle 🐟📖 It's a great place to enjoy a tasty meal and learn something new 🍽️ The staff is very attentive, and you can easily communicate in English😊

This is a must visit restaurant in Oslo. The salmon across the different menu options is fantastic, fresh and very tasty. I highly recommend the 3 types of salmon.
The dessert was excellent and was like a panna cotta with passion fruit. We will come back!
