One of the oldest traditional restaurants in Bergen. Walked in for an early dinner, no reservation but do recommend!  Excellent service from manager Herman, tried several local beers at the bar and traditional fish and meat dishes recommended while in the dining room. It was a great dining experience.

One does not become the oldest restaurant in Bergen without doing a lot of things right. The menu had options for our allergies and the only restaurant that had a dessert we could eat. The food was delicious and we had a very relaxing dining experience. The bartender was very helpful and very informative.

We had a really nice and relaxing dinner at this traditional restaurant in Bergen.
First, the ambiance is really amazing. The building is very old, and has been very nicely restored. The rooms are cozy and softly lit at night.
The best part of our experience was definitely the service. Our waitress took the time to explain the menu to us and make some recommendations, and she made sure that we were comfortable and happy with every choice from the menu.
The food was excellent! We especially enjoyed the stock fish, the marinated smoked salmon, and the traditional fish soup.
Prices are a bit high, but we did not feel bad about the bill, because we had such a great experience.
They have a huge list of local beers and ciders, and a good wine list, too.
We would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting the area.

Great little hidden place and very nice food options. You order your food and drinks at the bar and we got our food quite quickly. I ate the Bergen fish soup and hubby had the sausage which he said was great! Many options to sit, inside and outside

Food was amazing from start to finish.  Tartare was amazing!! Service was great.  The restaurant was beautiful!  Highly recommended!!
