OK, så en sak du märker ganska snabbt i Krakow, och särskilt i de gamla delarna, är överflödet av små oberoende återförsäljare. När såg du senast en haberdashers på dina resor? Detsamma gäller för matställen - du är bokstavligen bortskämd för val. Min polska är obefintlig - men även jag kan gissa att Alchemia betyder alkemi. Och i denna lilla polska bistrot förvandlar de verkligen några mycket ödmjuka ingredienser till kulinarisk guld. Vi ville ha lokal traditionell mat och blev därför avrådda från rödbetsrisotton som lät gudomlig. Portionsstorlekarna här är generösa och vi delade bara tre förrätter. Och alla är vegetarianer. En maträtt var som en pizzabas (Pinza) med fantastiska pålägg - pumpapasta som sticker ut. Vi åt sedan en surkål, kål och pärlkorn typ arancini med rökt keso. Det smakar så mycket som rökt fisk att vi var tvungna att dubbelkolla menyn att det var vegetarisk! Och den tredje var en otroligt mosad stekt potatis med paprika och ett miso krispigt smör. Återigen, utsökt. Interiören är lite spartansk, men du inser snart att du kommer hit för maten, och sedan glida nästa - dörr, också ägs av dem för en efter middag drink (nog sagt). Rekommenderas starkt.

Flera stora ljus upplysta rum med alkemist verktyg på väggar och tak, uppenbarligen Alchemia är en av de äldsta fungerande barer i Kazimierz. Baren/restaurangen är känd för sin rustika, bohemiska inredning i trä och vänliga atmosfär. Min fru och jag tillsammans med två vänner bodde i Hotel Estera tvärs över gatan och dök in för drinkar flera gånger och verkligen haft möjlighet.

En vacker liten restaurang med bra mat och utmärkt Service. Vi började med soppa som vi båda njöt av. Även om den speciella rödbetssoppa var inte tillgänglig som vi ville prova. Huvudrätterna var mycket stora och läckra. Vi åt kåldolmar och kyckling.

Denna plats var inför vårt hotell så vi var tvungna att ge det ett försök för frukost och det var så bra vi gick tillbaka igen. Jag åt ägg Benedict på surdegsbröd och en annan gång åt jag ägg på en ärtpuré , och min dotter åt pannkakorna . Frukostarna var mycket smakfulla och väl presenterade , jag rekommenderar starkt denna plats .

Snubbla över Alchemia när vi var på väg tillbaka till vårt hotell och vad är bra hitta det var. Utmärkt polsk mat, bra service och en härlig atmosfär till platsen. Irriterad att på grund av andra åtaganden vi inte kunde gå tillbaka följande dag men vi återvände senare i vår resa. När jag berättade för en polsk vän om det kommenterade hon att det var en "... Krakow institution. . ." och jag måste hålla med.

Vi valde att äta frukost här två gånger medan vi bodde i närheten. Helt utsökt mat, kaffe och färsk apelsinjuice. Det fanns härliga små inslag till den högkvalitativa maten och personalen kunde inte ha varit trevligare. Jag åt samma sak två gånger det var så gott - äggen Florentine. Min partner njöt av sötpotatis pannkakor och pannkakssmörgås. Jag är vege och det fanns gott om alternativ för mig.

Poppade in här för frukost, eftersom det var mittemot vårt hotell, och glad att vi gjorde. Atmosfären är mycket kyld, inredning udda, personal vänlig men viktigast av allt mat och kaffe var fantastisk. Ett bra ställe för brekkie om du är i området.

Droppade in för frukost, innan du beger dig till flygplatsen. Två trevligt tillagade och presenterade frukost, två kaffe. Om du bor i Kazimierz område, skulle jag rekommendera denna plats.

Avslappnad, boho plats med en bar, restaurang och klubb nere. Det sveper runt ett hörn av Plac Nowy; det har flera rum runt barområdet, alla levande och packade natten vi gick. Restaurangen är mindre, och har samma känsla, och god mat, effektivt serveras. Vi kom inte till klubben, men restaurangen som tömdes som ett evenemang i klubben började - en del av Krakow Autumn Jazz Festival. Bra ställe, önskar att vi hade haft tid att återvända.

Det här är ett fantastiskt udda ställe som har fantastisk mat och en fantastisk inredning med några stora ‘riktiga’ växter, vilket jag älskar. Vi åt pannkakorna och äggen Benedict. De var alla fantastiska, med en stor portionsstorlek och de var alla färska. Vi kommer definitivt att rekommendera denna plats och vi hoppas att återvända igen i framtiden. Jag önskar att vi hade sådana här ställen i Storbritannien!

Stannade till där för ett par öl och icetea. Mysig inredning. Senare på kvällen tog vi oss åter dit pga den mysiga inredningen,, efter en stund så ville frugan gå därifrån blixtsnabbt då någon hade gjort ned hela toaletten och dess golv,, det blev en tråkig sorti från den puben.

Du kan ganska enkelt gå förbi denna plats utan att veta att den fanns där men jag rekommenderar definitivt. Vi besökte för frukost. Mycket billig och utsökt mat. Kaffe var också bra.
