What an interesting place to learn. I highly recommend visiting at any time of the year. It was very moving and had a lot of information. Though we wished it had more Galacian information that was previously Poland. But they only speak to the current parts of Poland.

Told through modern-day photographs, this is a moving account of the history of Jewish life in Poland. The photos show the ruins of what was lost, photos of former synagogues and burial grounds or the empty spaces where they once were, or what occupies those spaces today. In most of the photos there are no people, only places, which makes them more moving, haunting and thought-provoking. Toward the end, the photos include people as they show a revival of interest in Jewish life in Poland. Sad, infuriating and poignant, it's a very moving exhibition.

Excellent museum. Modern with a range of permanent and temporary exhibitions. Particularly enjoyed the exhibit of photos in 1981 capturing the social impact of Solidarity and life in Poland at that time.

Cafe and bookshop both great too. Highly recommended if you are visiting Krakow

This is not a conventional museum of objects but an exhibition of superb, poignant and in many cases hopeful photographs. As a starting point in building an understanding of the inhuman German destruction of the Galician Jewish people and their culture, it is invaluable. Very highly recommended.
