This park, which is approximately 4 kilometers in length, encircles the entire historic district of Krakow.  The park is lined with beautiful trees, greenways,  walkways, statues, gardens, benches, and ponds.  The southern end of the park ends at the Wawel Castle and to the north, at the Barbican and St. Florian’s Gate.  This park was wonderful, and is well-maintained, and we really loved all the fallen and falling leaves.  We were able to experience the wonders of this park during the end of October for nine days.  This is an absolute must for anyone visiting Krakow, especially during the fall months.  The best time is in the morning when there are few people in the park, but an evening walk after dinner is also quite romantic.

I’ve been running in Planty Park a few times now, and I absolutely love it! The pathways are well-maintained, with plenty of space for both runners and pedestrians. The loop around the park offers a scenic and shaded route that winds through beautiful greenery, making each run refreshing. It’s especially great in the mornings when it’s quiet and peaceful.
If you’re in Kraków and enjoy running, Planty Park is a must!

This park is surrounding the center of the city and circle in shape. Great walk alongside with stunning views. The fact that i loved Krakow  and I wish I could visit again as i have enjoyed my time and weather there. Link to other destinations in the city via metro is available from this park and i use it as central stop so I came from gallaria to here and enjoying dinner after i went to hotel.

I adore the 2.5 Mille long Planty. There are plaques where the 48 watchtowers used to stand. It’s a delightful way to see the city in the morning when the locals are out for a run or bike ride. After a few days you start seeing the same people around the same time each day.
