Simply the best restaurant that you can find in the city, or perhaps not just in this city but in the entire Portugal country. I was really surprised at how delicious the food is. The cooking was just simple. However, it brings all the flavors in the world.
Would surely recommend you to try the Tuna belly and the Gambas. The taste is an explosion.

We visited this restaurant after a recommendation from a local. Great place for a simple and casual fresh seafood meal. You can take a look at the different fish before ordering. Decent prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Our waitress spoke English and the menu was in English.

Went to Tasca da Lota for some classic, traditional vibes – it’s got that old-school charm with everything grilled over charcoal, which fills the place with that amazing smoky smell! But honestly, the sardines weren’t quite what I expected. Maybe they were a bit too salty, or maybe fresh sardines are just harder to come by in November.

That said, the overall vibe was great, and it really hit the spot. There’s something about the smoky, cozy feel of the place that just works. I’d give it an 8 out of 10. If you’re looking for a unique, traditional experience, Tasca da Lota is worth a try – and maybe with a little less salt, it’d be perfect!

we went to this restaurant from a recommendation by a local and it was perfect!
The fish was fresh and greatly cooked and waiters were very nice and helpful! Especially a guy with glasses who served us was really friendly!
Loved the atmosphere and decoration on the roof with net.
Price was very affordable! We had from appetizer to dessert with wine all together €50! So impressive and we would recommend to anyone who goes to Lagos! Would love to come back ☺️
