We stayed 6 nights in December at the Tivoli Avenida Liberdade in Lisbon, Portugal and I can highly recommend this beautiful 5 star hotel.  From the moment we arrived, and were greeted by the doormen and woman with the top hat, as well as Carolina at the front desk, we knew we had made the right decision and were in good hands.  Our suite was large, immaculate, and tastefully decorated.  All of the staff (housekeeping, waiters, service providers, bartenders, etc.) were all very warm and helpful.  We tried all of the restaurants, roof terrace, lobby bar and loved each and every one of them.  They are all unique and beautiful and the food and service were wonderful.  We received treats each afternoon which were a nice surprise.  On my birthday, we were unexpectedly given an amazing cake with champagne.  We have stayed in many 5-star hotels around the world and this is the only time this has happened.  The hotel lobby is beautiful and had very sophisticated holiday decorations.  Our room and all of the restaurants were also decorated for the holidays.  The hotel clearly goes all out during this time of year and does not disappoint.  In addition, the hotel is very centrally located.  The Metro, train station, ferry, trams, buses, etc. are all within a short walking distance.  Avenida Liberdade is a gorgeous street with a large walking boulevard in the middle with pools, cafes, and markets.  All of the unique neighborhoods, churches, shops, and restaurants are very close to the hotel making sightseeing very easy and convenient.  The shops and VIP lounge in the hotel are also very beautiful and a nice way to unwind after a day of walking.  In short, we loved our time at the Tivoli Avenida Liberdade and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Not sure if I can call this experience a 5 star hotel, but it’s a decent hotel.

Staff is immaculate, the little details were amazing (port wine, water, etc) but the rooms lack proper entertainment options (screen casting) an extreme amount of noise is heard through the walls and all those other small details you may find in other 5 star hotels seem to be missing here

It’s located in the main strip. Location is good.  We expected more. The rooms are very tired.  Elevators had some issues.  The rooms need a remodel.  Breakfast buffet was nice.   I guess the main attraction is the roof top bar.  Roof restaurant was very nice and updated.

We had excellent service all around at the hotel, in the dining rooms, the bar, the reception desk, room service for meals and amenities. Alonso at breakfast, Carlos at the Cervejaria, Carolina at Reception, and so many more. Room service was especially elegant and efficient as we took several meals in the room. Live music at the Lobby Bar was wonderful.

We just had the most beautiful breakfast. The display, the variety, the products we're amazing. We were looked after by a beautiful gentleman called Alonso. Very helpful, very attentive and a really nice gentleman who was very professional.
