It’s hard to find the right words to describe how amazing was the experience at Fortaleza do Guincho! The place is extremely special! Beautiful construction, perfect location… our stay was a dream coming true!
The most special thing about this place is definitely the people! Every single person from the staff is kind and friendly. I had a very different group coming with me, from different ages and a little dog! And they were very inclusive, making everyone feel welcome and comfortable.
Both restaurants are also amazing! Worth trying and worth everything.

The staff is friendly and accommodating as you would expect from a 5-star hotel. The beach/ocean views were great for our superior sea view room and the food was fine even though the Michelin 1-star restaurant was closed when we were there. As preparation for enjoying the beaches our bed had sand on the sheets(!). On checkout no compensation was made for not changing the sheets in our €370/night room, but we were given a 10% discount for any future visit.

Wonderful experience in an old Military Navy Fort! Wonderful decoration and great service. The cappuccino during the Breakfast was the best I ever had!

Great Luxury Hotel with impeccable service!
2 dining options, casual + Michelin. Nice bar area  (with a TV, while luxury, not stuffy).
Staff works to accommodate requests like luggage storage and early check-in.  They carry your bags to your room at check-in. Hotel does not have an elevator.
Good views and some rooms have a unique sitting area with views of the beach.
Well worth a night or two.
