We took the Blandy’s Vineyards tour with Hugo, and we can truly recommend it to everyone! The tour may seem a bit pricey at first, but it’s absolutely worth every cent.

The communication with Hugo beforehand was quick and effortless. The estate itself is beautiful, charming, and full of history, but the real highlight of the experience is Hugo. He turns the tour into something truly unforgettable, explaining everything about Madeira wine with such passion and love for the craft that it’s absolutely captivating. He answers every question with patience and clarity, and his English is excellent and easy to understand, making the tour perfect for visitors from anywhere in the world. Hugo even took more time than scheduled, and our tour lasted almost three hours because of our many questions and his fantastic tips.

Blandy’s is truly lucky to have Hugo as a guide. He is a huge asset to their team and makes this experience something really special.

Fabulous!! I think this is an experience everyone should do when in Madeira.
Emily’s passion is simply amazing and she was a perfect host. We had a tailor-made experience with both horizontal and vertical tastings. The Quinta features all grapes except Sercial and it is a gem in the middle of bustling Funchal. You can also sleep there since they have a few rooms available. We loved this experience!

Emily was a great host!! Walked and talked us round the grounds with her great in depth knowledge and clear passion for the vineyard! The wine tasting was superb, in a stunning location and we learnt a lot about the history and industry of Madieran wine. Would 10/10 recommend!!
