Well, what can I say. This is simply an amazing place in the small town of central Portugal. We were invited by local winemaker, and they treated us very well. It is a kind of place where everything is in perfect order. Service very friendly and at the same time very professional! Special attention is given to products they select to bring only top-quality raw materials. Their pork knuckle was just perfectly cooked! Wine was served by our host winemaker, but they have the best selection of local small wineries. A must repeat place! And all this with just amazing value for money!

I go to Portalegre almost every other weekend, so I often scout for places to eat. Since there aren't many to pick from when you find the one you like it kind of becomes your extra living room. This place is by far the best restaurant in Portalegre, their signature dish, the Lacão is one of the greatest dishes I've eaten in Portugal. Many of the starters are also amazing, so go hungry!! 😀🤰🏻The space is really immersive and cool (compared to the scortching heat outside), and the staff as well as the owner are incredibly welcoming. Don't miss this place and book in advance!

It was just fine... nothing was particularly bad, but at the same time, nothing was particularly good. We started with the cabeça de xara and acorda, the cabeça was not for our palette, and the acorda was decent but nothing special. For the mains, we had the deer and bull, and once again, nothing was awful, but nothing great. Overall, it is a bit loveless and lack of passion.
Service was clumsy and impersonal. Everything was fine, but this kind of restaurant was expecting a higher calibre of care.
In general, it was fine, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to a friend.

Went here for dinner. But needed to make reservation previously. SO BE ADVISED ! Since they don't have a lot of space, the atmosphere is very rooted to the spectacle of bullfighting so it may not be for everyone. Still is a cozy place with good meals the size of said meals is not grand but it's balanced with an excellent presentation.
All and all with was a good experience.
Recommended for meat lovers.
Once again I advise to making reservations previously!

Definitely need a reservation for this place, But worth the effort. Delicious traditional Portuguese food, very generous portion sizes and presentation with great  wine selection, very Reasonably priced for quantity and quality.
