The special thing about this restaurant may not be about the food. What had interested me was the atmosphere.  People gathered at the front door, and most of them were just wanting to take a glance of the insides, with a few shots  of photos. A smart waiter welcomes and arranges  seats in a good and humorous manner. Speed of services is super, reminding me of my home country. The texture of the furniture is lovely to be touched and felt. People around are chatting lively, sometimes with some laughing or crying from babies. As said, there are quite a lot of interesting things to enjoy.

Stopped in on a rainy day in Porto for a little afternoon snack.  It was well worth the wait.  The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful and the food hit the spot.
You just don’t have the opportunity here in the US to enjoy such a beautiful ambiance in which to enjoy your afternoon coffee ☕️

Great spot for lunch.  Stopped in around 1pm during the week and it was easy to grab a table.  There was a doorman to great and seat us, which was a nice touch.

Ordered the Francesinha sandwich, which is a Porto must.  Delicious, tender meat with toasted bread covered in melted cheese and sitting in a gravy type sauce.  Wonderful!!

The fries were irregular pieces of potato, with some crispy and others soft and puffy.  We shared them, each eating the ones we liked more.

Service was attentive, but not overbearing.  Remember to ask for your check when you're done or you'll sit there undisturbed.

Would 100% go back.

Breakfast at the Majestic Cafe

Last time I had my coffee here about 10 years ago. And and I decided to visit to Majestic Café in Porto during my current trip, as it was an unforgettable experience last time
I'd like to highlight five positive points that stood out:

1. Exquisite Ambiance: The café's exterior and interior is a feast for the eyes with its Art Nouveau architecture, ornate mirrors, and beautifully carved woodwork. 🖼️ Stepping inside feels like traveling back in Time Machine to the early 20th century.

2. Impeccable Service: I think the very same guy was serving our table 10 years ago - very polite and charismatic. ))) The staff at Majestic Café are not only professional but also incredibly attentive and friendly. He really allowed me to feel welcomed and well-cared for, making my visit even more enjoyable.

3. Delightful Cuisine: The menu offers a delectable selection of mainly European dishes. I suggest the perfectly brewed coffee and - if you’re hungry - the fresh pastries and hearty meals.

4. Rich History. Since my visit this café already celebrated its hundreds anniversary. ❗️Majestic Café is steeped in history, having been a popular meeting place for writers, artists, and intellectuals and - of course tourists like me - since its opening in 1922. This rich heritage adds a unique charm and depth to the dining experience.

5. Cultural Hub. I love its selection of music, which creates nice atmosphere for morning coffee. Beyond its role as a café, Majestic serves as a cultural landmark in Porto.

Overall, Majestic Café is a must-visit for anyone in Porto, offering an unparalleled combination of history, culture, and culinary excellence.

Love the restaurant so much! Lovely, feels like princess. The service is excellent. Food is perfect and toasted is really good!
