Delighted to have found this wonderful restaurant on a last minute trip to Abrantes. Food was excellent, Portuguese recipes elevated, and with a good choice, plus great service in a lovely location. Outside is a terrace with stunning views, while inside is a contemporary take on a traditional Portuguese interior. Highly recommend and will be returning.

What a gem we found on The Fork which we reserved because we arrived around 2 o'clock. The service was super nice and did not rush us at all. We were reserved a table inside but were lucky enough to switch to the outside since a table oped up. The views were amazing and although windy, was very relaxing. Now the food...wow wow wow! They specialize in everything they make and the flavour was divine.

Must-visit. Typical Portuguese food with small (and welcome) adjustments. The food is excellent, generous portions, very friendly service, and the prices are low for what it is.

The outside setting is beautiful when the weather is nice - ample views of the town.

The oxtail croquettes are very tasty, extremely crispy, tender inside. Delicious.

The “ovos rotos” use home made French fries and slow cooked eggs. The result is a softer variation of a classic popular dish.

The “sopa da pedra” is rich, heavy on beans, with chorizo and different fatty meats.

The “pernil de porco” is roasted slowly after a crispy start, making it tender inside and flavorful. Was unfortunately too salty (easy to fix, chef).

The veal cheek was also very soft and a great match for the roasted mashed potatoes.

Desserts were very well made. We tried a soft and intense olive oil pudding and the chocolate mouse, which comes with welcome salt on top.

Overall, very good meal for affordable prices and a wonderful experience to repeat!

Delicious food, very reasonably priced.  The courtyard is beautiful either on top with the great view of the valleys or amongst the fruit trees. The staff were so welcoming and friendly with good recommendations for eating. In particular Philip made our visit memorable by providing good explanations of the dishes and recommendations which spot on for us.

Very nice experience!
It was our first time and we really liked it!
The restaurant seems quite small but it isn't, since there are 3 small room and an outside place.
The view is quite nice over the city.
The food is tradicional Portuguese, but with a twist! Quite nice!!!!
Prices are adequate for the concept.
The menu is diverse and although not big it is enough for the experince. Strongly recomend to share dishes to have the change to taste more dishes!
The kitchen is an open space, so it is quite nice to see the chef in the making!
The waitress was nice and very engaging, explaining all dishes.
Overall,  a very nice experience  and for sure we will return.
