We went on a Saturday evening around 18:30 and it was a perfect time for visiting as it was basically empty. The inside is grandiose, walls are full with frescos, there are literally hundreds of them. Very impressive. I think it is a must if you are in Belgrade.

This was a truly beautiful church to visit. Stunning architecture and beautiful music resonating throughout accentuated it beautifully.

I joked to a friend that the doors could be a “Rosetta Stone) 1000 years from now with the same prayer in multiple languages.

Visiting the Church of Saint Sava during the summer was an unforgettable experience.
The sheer size of the building and its intricate architecture were truly awe-inspiring. The iconic dome and the beautifully crafted mosaics gleamed magnificently in the sunlight. The interior was incredibly spacious, radiating a serene and spiritual atmosphere.

The surrounding area was well-maintained and inviting, perfect for a relaxing stroll or a moment of reflection. The historical and religious significance of the site was palpable throughout our visit. This is definitely a must-see for anyone traveling to Belgrade!🙏😊

This is a huge modern church dedicated to the most venerated Serbian saint, beautiful inside and outside. The church is the biggest in Serbia and one of the biggest in  the world. It was built on the place where remains of St. Sava were burnt on a pyre by Ottomans as a punishment for Serbian uprising. The church is spiritually, historically and artistically important. It is free to visit and photography is allowed.

A must visit place in Belgrade. If you time to see only one place, this is the one. This temple is made by 10 million gold mosaic pieces. Extremely beautiful interiors. Very clean. Built over 65 years during 1930 and 2005.
