one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever visited. if you love art, then it worths spending a morning there. we definitely enjoy the modern art exhibition. also, the exhibition about the history of the building was very interesting. worth visiting!

I absolutely loved this gallery! At the time, they had an exhibition of ottoman artefacts and the history of fort development which was fascinating. It was also a revelation to be exposed to Slovakian art: classical and modern as it’s not something showcased in Australian galleries

It was very clean, personnel was nice and helpful, and they speak good English. Adult ticket is 9 euro, which is kinda pricy.
We liked a couple exhibitions:
1. about Ottoman presence (weapons and embroidery, which you can also try yourself!). This one was really beautiful and informative.
2. Early Modern and Sacred Art collections are impressive and have some unusual visuals for this period.

Design and Modern Art exhibitions are okay.

We did not like a
1. Contemporary Art exhibitions. This was horribly dull and I just hope that this is a problem of this particular collection, not a Slovak contemporary art
2. Linea Collection art is mix of everything that does not have sense. I understand that it was a private collection but you can change the things a little bit in museum and do not display everything at once

I thing the problem is in the curator and I hope that SNG will improve, because place and potential is impressive

I really enjoyed my visit.  Staff were friendly and informative.  It was also lovely and cool inside when it was 33 degrees outside.  Nice coffee shop and  little gift shop. Good selection of art, including some by more famous artists.

Very nice exhibitions. Quite some variety too!
Information in English was missing in many parts. The building itself is also worthwhile, with its blend of old / restored and modern / new areas.
