This is a nice little hotel within easy walking distance of the main part of the city.  Rooms are neat and clean, and quintessentially European(meaning fairly small).  Breakfast is great and staff seems quite friendly.

First impressions when we arrived at the hotel was great. We were greeted and processed for check in by a wonderful service staff member by the name of Tjasa. She is warm and witty and gave plenty of good recommendations. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to many places.

However, when we stepped into our Comfort Twin room, the stench of sewer was a rude shock. It came from the bathroom. We get it. It’s the height of summer and the intense heat can cause this. We requested a change of room but that was not possible. The hotel staff Matt and one other lady called in the maintenance person to fix this. We were fine to get out of the hotel while they attempted to eliminate the smell. Upon our return, the room had been sprayed with a lot of air freshener. The bad odour was not totally eliminated but it was at least bearable. We informed them once again. The hotel service staff Matt said he’d look into it, but we didn’t hear back from him and we received no communication by end of day. We informed him again on the next morning and also told him the aircon was not cooling the room, that it was rather stuffy. Once again, he said he’d do what he can but we didn’t get any response or feedback from the hotel. All of this isn’t that much of an issue as we know these things can happen. What we found more disappointing was the lack of empathy and a concerted effort to communicate with us despite having twice conveyed our discomfort. Instead, what we got was a sort of frustration, and a service attitude that felt like lip service and somewhat insincere.

Nice hotel in the center. Breakfast is fabulous, service is great! Only a few parking spots but plenty of paid parking nearby.

Very nice and accommodating owner and staff. We called before booking to ensure they have available parking as we are not keen on streetside parking as our car is heavily loaded with our luggae. They helped us find an acceptable solution which they didnt have to especially in such peak season.

The hotel is full of personal touches that gave us a unique and special experience. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are definitely adding this on our favorite list for when we pass by the area again on our vacation trips.
