Outstanding food, out of this world. All dishes were made to perfection, kept the original lovely flavours of the ingredients but made the dishes really stand out on their own. What a delightful experience. I am definitely visiting Gostilna Vovko very soon and can highly recommend everyone to try.

Big plus, they have many gluten and dairy free meals prepared really well and tasty.

Just amazing. Fifth time here, to overnight and eat. Simple rooms but exquisite fresh, regional food and wines. Michelin recommended. Family business. Golfclub nearby. Otocec castle hotel on the river below. English and German spoken.

this is a review of the restaurant - with a limited but well crafted menu, the gostilna offers something for all tastes and preferences

the starters of smoked trout tartare with trout caviar + the beef carpaccio were well balanced and quite delicious

for the main, we had the krško pig t-bone steak (a first for us) + the buckwheat with lamb ragout & smoked ricotta -- both of these dishes were superb, nicely representing local cuisine and products

piece de resistance was the pear poached in local cviček wine, served with vanilla cream and walnut pate - yum yum yum!

service was polite, friendly and efficient

one of those gems that is well known among locals and patrons, and should be visited when in the area

Average. Expected fine dining, got some pretty average dishes. Doesn’t live up to the 2020 Michelin sign anymore.

Some extra info after reaction of the owner: it’s true fine dining is not mentioned in the Michelin app or on Google, so that was just my expectation beforehand. Prices however do suggest it should be on a fine dining level.
