I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The food was delicious; we ordered the San Jacobo, perfectly crispy and top-quality meat, and the octopus, which was extremely tender and absolutely exquisite. The service was excellent, we wandered in quite late on a Saturday evening and they made us feel welcome. Super professional, friendly and attentive staff - special mention to Paco and Juan Carlos. Great atmosphere and very decent prices - worth every penny! You must visit if you are in Aracena but it’s worth driving to from anywhere in the Sierra!

There are many restaurants in Aracena, and I consider this to be one of the best. At work here is a chef who thinks outside the box and is very knowledgeable about tastes and parings. So the restaurant offers great food of excellent quality and things you will not find elsewhere. Of you think you've just had about everything of the standard menus across Andalusia, visit this restaurant and pick the things you have not seen before. There are plenty choices and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Excellent place, both the ambience and the food. Plus one of the very very few places open in Aracena on a Tuesday night *don't believe the Google opening hours for the town's restaurants*. Juan Carlos our waiter spoke both English and Spanish for us, and suggested fabulous, filling dishes to share. Ibérico ham plus cheese to start, followed by the bull's tail meatballs (tender chunks rather than minced) with migas and local setas, and an off-menu slow-roasted fall-off-the-bone lamb shoulder with Pedro Ximenez sauce for three, and a chocolate ganache dessert. A tapa on the house, bread, beers and a local glass of wine for me (again recommended to me) rounded off a super meal - and all for €86 for three. Classic quirky Spanish bar interior with windows onto the square an added bonus. Go there!

I had dinner at Rste Montecruz in July 2019. Tried 3 of their tapas and had dessert. Staff spoke basic english and were very friendly.
It´s easy to find as its on the main road with some street parking in front of the restaurant.
I´d highly recommend this place for their excellent quality of food. Particularly notable was the salmorejo, iberian ham (produced by them) and the presa iberica (pork dish)
