Small and cosy restaurant. Be sure you will be treated very well. The staff is kind and considerate.
Food is amazing. We got a complimentary small starter. Be sure to order the Gilda!!! It's an explosion of flavours. Monkfish was also very good. Shame I had to share it with my boyfriend because I brag about it 😅

Not a great experience, we arrived shortly after 2pm and asked for the set menu, only to be told, rather rudely that menu finishes at 2pm. So we ordered a la carte, starter, las guildas were interesting but it went down hill from there. The scallops were just grilled, and we paid 60€ ( plus vat) for 6. The crab was ok, but when the waiter told us that the apple desert was made in house I lost all faith in him. The apple in a croissant pasty, apple strudel was very good, but obviously came from a nearby patisserie. We were also charged VAT on the bill, I didn’t question it in the restaurant as when I asked for the menu at the beginning I was told that it clearly states on the website that menu is only available until 2pm, so I paid it. When I got back to my hotel room I checked the website site, and the menu states that VAT is included.
We choose the restaurant as it was recommended by the Michelin guide, but 158€ I wasn’t impressed. We speak fluent Spanish so it wasn’t a misunderstanding due to language.

We came spontaneously without reservation on a Saturday and were seated at the gastro bar. Kudos for that!

I loved the Japanese style seating arrangement and the direct interaction with the chefs. Also the atmosphere is very chilled and inviting.

We had the six course seafood menu Marea Baja for lunch. Most of the dishes were great, if not extraordinary (monkfish with mushrooms, very brave dish!). All local ingredients with respect to Asturian cousine.

The cheesecake made with local Asturian cheese (again very brave) was lacking some fruit arrangement or sorbet/ couli in my opinion. Also in one of the dishes I would love to see a big fat peace of seafood like a lobster tail or langostino. But then again the menu price was only 50 €which is very fair value for this category of food.

All in all very pleasant experience and definitely coming back for the 12 course menu next time.

Very good seafood cooked in a creative way. Fine dining for a reasonable price.
Staff is dedicated and amazingly friendly. Try Gilda as a starter. Burst of flavour!
