When in San Sebastian have dinner in Kiki – (only locals to be found – no tourists)

Honest and delicous food, great wine reocommendation, rightly priced and warm and personalized service. We had 1 Kg of chuleton for 3 – the meat was heavinly tender and flavourful – a must try. Because it was hot we hesitated in having red wine but we were recommended a red that was chilled (16 celsius) , from Castilla & Leon  - as we were told by a wine house owned by Architect Rafael Moneo – this is a wine that we will want to buy more in the future. Very tasty cheese platter and delicious Bask cheese cake.
The Restaurant is located a 15 minutes bus drive from the center , where we stayed (Hotel Distrito Oeste – highly recommendable) and we could not find it on Google maps – it was recommended to us by the team of a very nice small Coffee House near by (called Zoom). We had a fantástic meal and a great Experience. This was a real great Discovery

Good Pinxtos and a pleasant place. We stayed there about an hour or so. Pintxos are finger food or snacks on toothpicks eaten in bars (wine, beer etc.) in the Basque Region and are lesser known internationally. The closest equivalent is the Spanish tapas. We visit four of 5 bars within DSS, not just the old town and try one, including a glass of wine or beer, in each. DSS is renowned for its pintxos. Very enjoyable.

Just went for a drink, but stopped for the menu of the day.
Delicious  food with staff who were so attentive without being overbearing  .
The wine was a great accompaniment  to the meal .
Maybe out or the tourist area but well worth the walk.

professionals, if ever in saint sebastien, incredible the way they take care of customers. professionals in capital letters. very knowledgeable in classical music.
