After five weeks of travelling through Spain and Portugal we found this amazing place. Although we speak other languages  Spanish  isn't one of them. Here we were welcomed and served amazing food! The pig cheek was a work of art 🎨! All of us scored this restaurant highly. Great people watching as well as great food!

The place looks like any other street cafe in Santander and I walked in just as I was feeling hungry but ended up having a very nice dinner.
Ordered scallops with a glass of white wine - best scallops ever they turned to be!
After that the waitress offered some cheese mousse with black current ice cream and I asked for a cup of tea. Tea came a very cute cup

I visited Al Norte for dinner this week and it was fabulous. As a non-Spanish speaker I was a bit lost (even with an English version of the menu) on what to order but our waiter was fabulous. He advised on house specialities and great local wines. A 30 euro menu included at least five taster starters, main, dessert & wine! Especially good starter was the fish & crab pudding (terrine-like) and main course of hake stuffed crab with sauce - brilliant. Highly recommend this restaurant for foodies!

Really nice addition to the sardinero area. Right ubder the casino, location is hard to beat as is the food. The place boasts a really nice outdoor terrace and a carefully decorated interior. Great to share some tapas with friends and a stone's throw from the beach.
