What great burgers! You choose your type of meat and toppings, and whether you want it in a bowl or bun. They then give you a number plate where yo can sit on the inside or outside patio. We elected the outside patio, which was nice to be in the fresh air and people watch. However, the chairs you sit on are more like stools and very wobbly--they need to fix that. The burgers were delicious. Mine, the Bacoa Burger, was on a brioche bun and had bacon and cheese on it. The burger in the bowl had a bit of a salad with it, but no dressing. The fries we ordered were thin cut and quite tasty as well, unfortunately they were cold by the time we got them. The servers here are young and try to accommodate you with seating nicely, and they clean up the tables pretty quick.

My god! Best burgers I have ever had. The beef from their contract farm in the pyrenees is amazing. I have eaten a lot of burgers across Europe and in USA, nothing is as good as this. My favourite is the manchego burger but the classic burger is also very very good. Perfect bun (the classic bun) Perfect beef Perfect mayo A must try if you're in Barcelona!

BAAAAAAAAAAACOA. Wow. Where do I start... ...Imagine a bright sunny day, sitting outside under a few umbrellas, right across from Barceloneta beach. You are with a couple of friends, drinking a few cold beers, and eating your way through Bacoa's menu - patatas bravas and French fries with spicy sauces and of course, the best burgers you will ever eat. Heavenly... On a recent trip to Barcelona, my sister and I were searching for a particular burger joint. We came across Bacoa by chance and decided to scratch our original idea, because Bacoa really stood out. You simply go inside and order what you want by ticking small boxes on a menu card. You pay at the counter, take your buzzer and your 'make your own' cardboard burger holder and then head out to their lovely outdoor area (you can also eat inside, but with Barcelona's hot and sunny weather, I would recommending sitting outside - great for people watching and also you are right near the beach). The great thing about Bacoa is that you can customise your own burger. You can pick between a white or wholemeal bun (which is lightly toasted) plus they offer a gluten free option - lettuce instead of a bun. You then pick your meat - organic beef, char grilled chicken, bacon, lamb, pork or their vegetarian option and decide whether you want to add any of their homemade sauces (including a secret homemade mayo - mmm...) When the food arrives at your table, you simply put your burger in your made up burger holder and voila, you are ready to eat! Just a note - their burgers are HUGE and juicy, but oozing with flavour inside. And yes, your hands will get very messy, but it is totally worth it! We loved Bacoa so much the first time that we came back the following night! I tried both the 'Pollo' (fresh chicken breast marinated for 12 hours, then char grilled) and also the 'Japonesa' (beef glazed with traditional teriyaki sauce). Both were amazing, but the 'Japonesa' really stood out. Also, if you are vegetarian or just love vegetarian food, then you are in luck. My sister ordered their 'vegetariana' burger twice, because it was THAT good. The patty is made of chickpeas, sweet corn, baby spinach, red pepper and topped with a spicy tomato chutney and creamed goat's cheese. Ooh la la! So, if your in need of a burger fix, and you happen to be by the beach, then head to Bacoa now for the best burgers in Barcelona!

This is the best burger I've ever had, the 35 day dry aged bio beef is worth the upgrade cost. Lots of options for toppings and condiments, fries cooked perfect and my wife got chicken which was incredible too. You fill out your order while standing in line (ask for English sheet) friendly order takers will help you if needed to get the perfect meal. The double burger was HUGE!!! so buyer beware, I loved it.

THIS IS THE BEST PLACE FOR A CHEESEBURGER BY THE BEACH IN BARCELONA...order your "meat" (the " are because they do offer a veggie style burger... but why?.. no not for me and the hubby.. me likey the Moo cow..nice and juicy!... sorry all you PETA peeps!) .. then order your toppings.. cheese..pickle..ect..... on the bun of your choice! i opted for the "regular" fries.. good.. but not great.. but my better half opted for the "Rűsticas" fries.. now those were definitely tasty! very enjoyable atmosphere.. lots of American music playing in the background.. and I noticed that the staff spoke several languages..including English.. which was helpful with our muy poco Spanish! Sooo.. all in all.. a great burger... a little pricey..but definitely worth every penny!

Bacoa remembered me why you should never eat Burgers at McDonalds. When I did the first bite, I experienced a completely new taste what you can do with burgers. Yes, I already have experience with Burger places and they all know how to do a good cheeseburger, sometimes altering the cheese or "just" using really good products. Well, Bacoa does all of that, plus really great ideas of their own. The Japonesa burger I ate was so special, because it combined great ideas of Japanese kitchen with the conveniences of a burger. Even without cheese and bacon or maybe because of that, the taste was really intense in a very good way. Well, when you order, they ask you if you want to have cheese or bacon on the burger. I did not know if it meant extra cost (well my fault, I could have asked) so I said no. I really like those places where you can go to the cashier, place your order and then your food is served at the table with the help of a little electronic device. You save a lot of time, especially if you want to enjoy the beach and have a quick burger and not sit down for a long time and wait for the waiter to come and take the order and bring the bill. As the actual restaurant is within the Barceloneta and not right at the beach, the burgers cost around 2-3 € less than in the bars right at the beach. But still you can enjoy the beach as they have tables right on the beach promenade, like only 15 meters away from the beach. I would eat there again right away!

The burgers are really good, the beer is great and the location is literally right on the beach. I stayed in Barca for 8 nights and I ate or got beer(or both) here at least 5 times. Definitely a place to checkout.

This Bacoa is the newest addition to the successful local burgher chain. Same home made burghers and fries with emphasis in organic products and recycling. All their sauces are home made and prepared without any chemical Ingredients. The burghers as made fresh from organic meat from the Pyrenees.this newest addition is located right next to the famous Barceloneta, with very ample terrace with a great ocean view!
