Surprisingly decent food awaits you here. The downside is that a lot of Americans eat here. They don't seem to all know each other, but it is a little weird motherless. The Pho Ga has a tasty broth, good Chicken breast meat, but the noodles were a bit soggy. That being said, it was a good soup, and can stand tall on its own. Ban Bo Hue is by far my favorite Vietnamese dish, and they make a solid run at at. Quite a ways from being authentic, it was pretty good, although they could stand to use less oil.

I only had the beef pho and it was not good. It tastes like beef broth from the cans. The menu says "recommended to add hoisin sauce or spicy chili sauce for extra flavor". When I asked for those sauces, the waiter had no clue what i was talking about. I asked for "fresh rolls" without prawns but was told fresh rolls were premade already. That doesn't seem fresh to me. Would not recommend this place for the food. However, the vibe and environment is great for drinks and socializing.

It depends on what you know about pho. I grew up in California and my mom made it. This couldn't have been further from what I know as pho. However, after 10+ days of pinxtos and tapas, I was yearning for some soup noodles and my Shin ramen ran out. Pork spring rolls had that bubbly, chewy 'imperial' skin. The filling is a bit different - more like an egg roll - with ground pork and glass noodles. The fish sauce was more sour and vinegary. Well, we are in Spain so it was good for where we were. I saw someone else's summer rolls and they looked good - shrimp and all in clear skin. Chicken pho - grilled chicken. Thick noodles that were dried and cooled, but still a tough al dente. The soup was not stewed for hours or had that wholesome chicken essence. Not my kind of pho but it was hot soup noodles. Shrug. I wouldn't get it again. I added a ton of herbs and lime, which I don't normally do. I did love the herb accompaniment. So fresh and large. Because of this, when I burped later, I did feel like I ate pho. Heheh Service was quick and good so no complaints! I think Vietnamese food is rare here. I see more Chinese and Japanese people and food in Barcelona, which probably would've been the safer option...

The quirky decor and the cheap mojito offer (3,5 Euro) dragged me to this place while passing by. At first sight, I didn't realize it is a Vietnamese restaurant. It took some time to discover what is beneath the heavy, colorful make up of the place. When I did figure out , I tried the deep fried wonton filled with vegetables served with a sweet chilli sauce. The sauce was just like the one I had from the Chinese stores here. The fried wonton is a fried food basically, nothing amazing about it. Oh, there was one leaf of lettuce that was placed to make the plate look assorted. The waitress seemed to be annoyed when I told her to give us a moment to think what to order. It is almost like this in any Spanish bar/cafe, you know, the notion of customer service doesn't exist. On top of that, the more people came to the place, the more the air got stuffy. We figured the kitchen was near and all the smell was coming straight to where we dine. Two British guys sitting next to our table took their sweaters off complaining about the same stuff. We left the place to move on somewhere more comfortable before we get roasted.

very fresh ingredients and during daytime on weekdays they do starter, main, dessert/coffee +drink(!) for €9. quick service. I recommend mango ice cream. preferred their branch at Carrer dels Sagristans 3 as it was more cozy and has a nice place outside. inside is also nicer there, but can't really explain in what way (more spacey maybe? more window seats?)

I'm a fan of both Bun Bo locations. Neither is much different from the other. The decor is the same in both, and the food too. It's not super authentic Vietnamese food, but it's definitely tasty. I really like the Pho Gha (chicken soup), and the crispy egg rolls.

This restaurant is nice but certainly not the best. We had the starter platter and unfortunately the spring rolls were extremely fatty and no other tast could be felt. As main dish I opted for Pho, which was tasty but not the stock was not as rich in taste and what I am used to in other vietnamese restaurants. A friend took Bun, which was very dry and the sauce that came with was really just fish sauce and not the usual sweet/sour/spicy/fishy taste. Might give it another try next time in Barcelona. Overall the service was very good

Absolutely fantastic. Great atmosphere, wonderful cocktails and lovely decor. Had cocktails here before (cheapest for quality that I've found in barcelona) and tried the food. Steak I had was fantastic and the traditional yet delicious Vietnamese dessert of cookies, ice cream and coffee was brilliant. Great value Too as all mains less than 10euros including the steak dish. Definitely visit. Staff could be a bit politer but I'll forgive that as the place is rammed.

Good change up from traditional Spanish food. The rice balls were very good and so was the chicken noodles dish. As the other reviews have said, it's not a traditional Vietnamese restaurant but it was very good as an Asian-fusion type place. Pretty good mojitos as well at a very good price (3.50). Overall a very good meal, got an appetizer, 2 drinks and 2 entrees for 25 euro! Definitely would go back.

This is a place where you go because you're near the end of your trip and you desperately need something different. If you go with the expectation of it being fusion then you'll be fine. The pho ga has grilled chicken breast in it. The broth is tasty enough and it probably would work better with the beef pho. It's the same chicken you find in their rice vermicelli dish. But you pair that with a 4E margarita frappe (blended) and it's all good.
