I went there alone for a relatively early (6.30 pm) dinner after making a reservation on Fork. Unsurprisingly, the place was nearly empty. I was greeted warmly, given menu, bread, water, and a welcome. Since I was alone I couldn't sample many things, but had the olives, gazpacho, and a black-rice paella with mussels, and a couple of glasses of the house dry white wine. It was thoroughly delightful. The restaurant does not look like much -- this is not crystal and white tablecloth -- but the gazpacho was smooth, cold, lightly seasoned, plentiful, and well-made; the paella was excellent, in a searing-hot pan, and --important -- was not over-salted. (Overly salted food in restaurants is a curse.) The Paella was hugely enjoyable, and a pleasure to eat. The recommendation I got for a dry simple house white wine was spot on. The service was friendly, knowledgeable, and tolerated my almost non-existent Spanish. (I also speak no Catalan, I am sorry to say.) They even gave me a small glass of dry champagne before I left. I would go back in a moment and i recommend it thoroughly.

I walked by this place multiple times every day as it was on the same block as my airbnb. I came in for lunch on my second to last day I Barcelona as I thought it was interesting they had a special every day per the sign outside. There was a starter and entree deal going on. The starter included calamari , chicken wing and patatas bravas...pretty decent. I got the seafood paella and it was pretty decent. Sangria was good as well! Service was stellar, but I think most people did not trust this place as it seemed so empty throughout the day. When I walked in, there were only 2 tables occupied. I like to think that my sitting there caused people to walk by and want to come in as by the time I left, the joint got packed. Decent joint worth making a stop in

Hi team! This place is asi-asi. I would not say it was bad, but it was also not good. In general, for all the amazing restaurants around it in the area, it should be achieving a higher standard of excellence. The first problem we encountered, were the fruit flies. Of all my 8 days in Spain, this was the only restaurant that had a pest problem. They were voracious and landed in our drinks. We had to request new ones, and cover them with a napkin. In addition, we were not able to order fresh juice here, which, seemed to be readily available at other locations. Our dish, Paella de mariscos, was pretty good. I would not say it blew me away, but it was a large helping. I would say you can probably find better options in Barrio Gotico.

All up in the gothic quarter, this restaurant is of a nicer decor and the prices higher than average. Inside tries to portray as fancy, but is not so much. The menu is not extensive, but has the standard items for a Spanish restaurant. The service is just okay, if you get the attention it'll be done. There was a good menu of the day, but i don't eat meat (for the tapas) so i passed on it. I mainly came since there was a vegetarian paella for €12. The paella had zucchini, eggplant, red bell pepper, peas, and asparagus...a good variety. The rice was cooked a little al dente, and the sauce was more minimal than being soaked in it....which is okay. Overall, this place is an alright try.

One of the worst restaurants we've been to in Spain. Had dinner there, ordered some tapas: the stuffed olives (can't go wrong), fried cod fish, garlic bread (do not bother pls). Our main, which was the ham and mushroom pizza was terrible. It was store-bought pizza dough, low quality, and made my stomach bloat. It was really bad. Every dish except the olives was a let down. To top it off, when we got the bill, the server - who had been great the whole time - suddenly suggested we give a service fee as it had not been included. We later gave about 10pc of the bill. When he returned the card, he dropped it on our table and left. No warmth or semblance of any service.

We were in Barcelona for 4 nights and chose this restaurant for our last nights' dinner. The food and sangria were amazing. I recommend the tapas-seafood paella and drink special to get a good flavor of local cuisine. It was a cozy and relaxing atmosphere and the service was excellent.

Take my word for it, it's not very good. Food was average, beer was flat and service was atrocious. There are much better places not 100m up and down the road, so keep walking. Don't waste your time on a place that uses canned vegetables in its salads.

We happened upon this restaurant whilst exploring the tiny streets near Pl. Jaume. At 7.00pm it was quite full whereas other similar restaurants were empty! Very homely atmosphere and attentive staff. If you want a real treat go for the set menu, which consists of a plate of 5 tapas, while bait, calamari, chicken wings, green peppers and patatas bravas. This followed by a choice of paella, seafood, chicken, vegetarian or a mixture. All for €16.75 with a free glass of wine, beer or sangria. We came away very satisfied and replete.
