Fooled. I saw matcha on the sign and it was just an attempt at Japanese. I thought it was going to be a Spain twist on matcha. I didn't order the matcha ice but instead ordered the tuna pancake because I felt guilty entering and leaving after starting a conversation. How was it? Not worth what I paid. This is the simplest food to prepare so it's hard for me to want to pay for it. For the folks that never tried it, do so! It's good but this is like bread and butter for me so it doesn't rock my socks. The owner is very nice and friendly.

This is such a fun and unique concept. Pancake sandwiches! Simple, delicious, easy to grab and eat on the go. We came here twice during our stay in Barcelona, and got a variety of sweet and savory pancake sandwiches. They make the pancakes right there in front of you when you order, which is very fun to watch. I tried the Tuna pancake, which was tuna salad between two standard pancakes. It was simple and delicious. I also tried the Nutella pancake, which was equally awesome and exactly as it sounds: Nutella spread between two standard pancakes. My boyfriend had the Ham & Cheese pancake sandwich, which was both agreed was the one to get if you want a more full meal - it had ham, cheese, tomato, and lettuce on it. My sister and my Dad both got jam pancake sandwiches, and they said that was mostly just like eating your classic breakfast pancakes. They also have pre-made ride seaweed triangles called Onigiri. You can get them stuffed with different meats, my boyfriend had one stuffed with salmon. He enjoyed it, but not as much as the pancake sandwiches. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a quick dinner or a late-night bite (and grab an empanada from the next door Empanaderia while you're at it!)

So cool! I had never tried Japanese shaved ice before I came here and let me tell you, you're in for a treat. First of all, not only is this cute little shop on Carrer Verdi, but it's in a really cool area of Carrer Verdi where there are all sorts of new interesting restaurants. Basically, they sell traditional Japanese shaved ice. It's really incredible tasting, and there are about 50 flavors if I remember correctly. The lady at the counter is really nice, and so is the man. Good pricing! Awesome stop for an interesting snack!

So worth it. Prices start at $2.50, they have about 10 things on the menu. Although there was only one person making the stuff and the line got long.

I was reluctant to come here initially because I saw the photos of literally two pancakes with filling wedged in between them (and what is so special about that?). I came here with my friend and the one lady who was working was very kind. The place itself is cute and cleanly decorated. The pancakes were cooked just right (not too band nor too sweet), and the raspberry marmalade filling was absolutely delicious. It is such a simple concept, but it was tasty. They have both sweet and savory options. I would definitely try it if you want a light dessert.
