All hotel staff was very friendly and professional. Good location, fresh breakfast. It’s a borderline to claim 4 star hotel. Decent facility, cleanness and decor. External and internal nose were expected since it’s next to La Rambla. Probably I was tired enough to sleep well.

My first time in Barcelona with my family. Booked this hotel from bookings.com  base on pics and reviews.I booked 4 nights stay and end up checking out early because my first night was starting off bad because one of the balcony door handles was broken and can’t lock and close properly. I let the front service know and they said maintenance left for the day and will fix tomorrow morning. Linens dingy and yellow with dirty floors. That same night trying to sleep but it was so noisy from every direction. Didn’t even sleep. Next morning went down to eat breakfast buffet and me and my kids couldn’t eat because food didn’t look good and taste terrible and walked out. That was the last straw and I end up checking out early.  Hotel is a big disappointment made. All I can say is The staff was friendly. I usually don’t post bad reviews but it was a sad experience for my family.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an incredible experience! The staff was exceptionally attentive, going above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. The highlight of my visit was when they surprised me with a thoughtful birthday gift, even though I had never mentioned it to them. I still can’t figure out how they knew it was my special day, but the gesture was so unexpected and heartwarming.

Every interaction with the staff felt personal and genuine, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay. The level of attention to detail was impressive, and their ability to anticipate my needs made the experience truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a stay that’s not just comfortable but filled with delightful surprises!

I had a truly wonderful and highly satisfying experience during my recent stay at Hotel España in Barcelona. Conveniently located in La Rambla, it is an ideal choice for travelers who want to explore the city with easy commute. The rooms are with decent space, small private balcony, well maintained bathroom. The hotel’s location near a metro station made commuting and using public transportation easy. Moreover, it’s situated amidst many well-known attractions, such as Plaça de Catalunya and Barcelona Cathedral, and is within walking distance of the famous La Boqueria market. They have excellent breakfast spread. I was especially impressed by the management’s thoughtful gesture of placing gifts during my stay, promoting local businesses with the MWC event. Well, the icing on the cake was the complimentary mini-bar, stocked with locally-produced fruit drinks and a small bottle of water.

Tips for visitors:
1. Make reservations as early as possible to secure your booking.
2. Be sure to ask about inclusions in your reservation.
3. Take advantage of discounted daily passes for easy access to public transportation.
4. Keep in mind that prices are generally lower on weekdays compared to weekends or days coinciding with major events.

Have low expectations and don’t expect 4* hotel room.
Hotel transmits luxuries vibe, but so many things are broken or worn out. Maintenance was heavily neglected for long time.
Location is very central. Personal at reception was nice and helpful.
