I had a wonderful stay at Soho House Barcelona. The house is beautiful, stylish, and full of character, but what really stood out was the incredibly friendly and attentive team. Every member of staff was lovely, but a special mention goes to Donna, who made me feel especially welcome. She was always happy to help and quickly sorted a small issue I had with my room—top-notch service.

The Cowshed spa was peaceful and perfect for unwinding, and I loved escaping to the screening room for a couple of hours after a day exploring the city. My room was stunning—comfortable bed, a proper coffee setup with Grind, Cowshed and Soho Skin products in the bathroom, a Marshall speaker, and a balcony with seating. It felt like a true home away from home.

The rooftop terrace was gorgeous, though it does get busy—worth the effort, though, as most people were happy to share tables. The gym had everything I needed, and the club had a great vibe, especially on Friday night. Fantastic cocktails and attentive bar staff made it even better.

All round, a brilliant experience. Can’t wait to return.

Ive stayed twice and my experience was lovely, however this time my gf arrived prior to me and she was greeted by a girl with an afro (just mentioning so you can know who she is) at the reception who told her that NON soho house members couldn’t book the hotel and she should leave, this is completely untrue because there are two prices members and non for the hotel rooms. She was looked down on and she left, we ended up booking the Cotton house hotel. Just so sad how members of staff in ‘high end’ hotels act like this. Truly saddening. We wont be back.

Came in to ask about membership while having lunch at their restaurant. The staff at reception a man in hat and girl were simply rude ! Unbelievable!  It was hard to get any info. Goes in line with what I heard about SOHO house philosophy... rudness over warmth and feeling welcome!

Overcrowded, Disorganised, and Lacking Any Atmosphere – What’s the Point?

I visited Soho House Barcelona last week as a guest, and the experience was an absolute joke. The most frustrating part wasn’t even the lack of service—it was the sheer chaos. The place was packed to the brim with people on laptops working anywhere they could find space, including standing up at a chest of drawers outside the toilets. Others were pacing around on calls, and some were even taking business calls inside the photo booth. Is this supposed to be a private members’ club or just a crowded Gen Z co-working space?

The atmosphere was completely lost in the chaos. Finding a comfortable place to sit was impossible unless you arrived ridiculously early, and if you did manage to find a spot, you were wedged between people typing away on laptops or loudly discussing their start-ups. It felt more like a disorganised WeWork than an upmarket social space.

On top of that, the service was nonexistent. I didn’t see a single waiter the entire time, wasn’t offered a menu, and had to bring my own water and food from outside—at a private club with a hefty membership fee.

This isn’t a one-off bad experience; it’s clearly a fundamental problem with how the House is being managed. Given that this is the only Soho House in Barcelona, I know of members who are seriously reconsidering whether their membership is even worth it anymore.

Unless something drastically changes, I wouldn’t recommend Soho House Barcelona to anyone looking for an exclusive, stylish, and relaxing place to socialise. Right now, it’s just an expensive, overcrowded mess.

Join any or all of the London houses if you can, but don’t bother in Barcelona.
