Did the tasting menu. Nice range of Japanese flavors. Dashi broth in the agedashi tofu was delicious and sweet. Loved the subtle start to the flavors with the clam soup. The tuna tare tare was also nice and subtle. Things got heavy pretty quick after the sashimi platter. Dishes got super salty after. The tuna toro with truffle on top was really salty and the last seared tuna toro was also super salty. Imo the “wow” dishes were too overwhelming with salt to enjoy the sauces. My favorite was the salmon nigiri it was so tender and ever so slightly seared. Perfect balance of smokiness from being cooked and the sweet raw mouthfeel.

I grew up in Tokyo and I think they can compete as a restaurant there! We had the tasting menu which I’d describe as imaginative and beautifully executed — loved it.

We ordered one ramen and two sushi rolls, overall 40 euros. The ramen was out of this world but the sushi rolls were nothing special, I bought a few days later a roll from Carrefour and it was the same.

Still the place is nice and the staff treats you like a vip.

I recommend the 68 EUR tasting menu for lunch. Majide is a restaurant with a no-nonsense and no-frills attitude that serves simply good fish. You will leave full after this meal. If that is what Majide aims to do, I have no criticisms.

Amazing hidden Japanese gem. The tasting menu at 68€ is extremely recommended.

The grilled tuna (last dish of the tasting menu) was beyond this world. All the other plates are really impressive, with innovative but true Japanese flavours and DNA.
