I liked this square immediately. Besides the grand sculpture of Ramon Berenguer on horse, there are remains of Roman walls and one feels like in ancient times. Berenguer was about 1000 years ago count of both Barcelona and Provence. The Roman walls behind the sculpture are very well preserved and worth taking a walk to see them. This is also the start of the Gothic quarter

Beautiful old walls in an open square for walking. I was just a little surprised on my morning walk to see this seagull feasting on a pigeon for breakfast… yuck!
