Barcelona is easily the best food city in world with all cultures available and thus was the best restaurant I’ve eaten at so far. Delicious meticulously prepared omakase menu with tremendous creativity and imagination going into every dish. The ingredients were very fresh and the service was superb. Can’t emphasize how good this restaurant is. It’s in a hotel but don’t let that deter you. An absolute must if you visit Barcelona. Tremendously delicious! Gracias, Arigato Gozaimasu!

I had been looking forward to dining at this restaurant for quite some time, so when my boyfriend’s birthday weekend came around, we finally decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it was mediocre at best.

We opted not to do the omakase since it was a bit last minute, but I was shocked that this decision seemed to lead to such a disappointing experience. The fish was chewy and gummy, and served far too cold. Given that we eat sushi regularly and have a good sense of quality, it was clear that the fish was of medium quality at best—definitely not what you’d expect from a restaurant at this price point.

The one highlight was a mackerel appetizer that we really enjoyed, and it briefly raised our hopes. However, the salmon and tuna that followed were far below average, and the rest of the meal continued on this disappointing trend.

As for the service, I’m aware that service standards can vary, especially in Spain, but this was some of the worst service I’ve experienced anywhere.

Overall, this restaurant failed to meet expectations in almost every aspect, and it’s hard to justify the price for what we received. Sadly, what should have been a special meal turned out to be quite underwhelming.

This is a very normal japanese restaurant. I don’t understand why it was on Michelin guide. Was it because of it has the same location as the one-star Michelin restaurant???

The service was quite slow until we had to claim that we waited long time for our first dish. Then when the waiter served us the gyozas, they were already warm (not hot). The octopus dish Tago-ake was too salty.
The tempura was good, like average japanese restaurant. The food was not bad, but not to repeat here again.

The waiters have to be trained harder to reach the professional level: speak clearly (not murmuring), have a keen eye and action more rapidly. I saw all the customers put their bags either on the floor or on the table. In other good restaurants, they always have a small chair or bag hanger for customers.

We went to Kintsugi for the degustation menu. Food is amazing, quality is exceptional and we had great time speaking with the chef Hector. We will definitely go back and recommend. We loved every single plate.
Maybe the fact that the seats are close to the main door of the hotel can resume in being a bit cold in winter if a lot of people are entering/exiting - otherwise it was perfect.
I would recommend to book at 20:30 and not 20:00 as we waited for 20:30 people to start.

Amazing service and quality. The woman with the curly hair who was serving us honestly might have been the best waitress I’ve ever had in Spain. Her care, attention to detail, and overall high level of service was beyond impressive! Give her a raise. The sushi and all other products were lovely. We will for sure be returning and looking forward to another amazing meal!
