Booked with points getting a high room and club access. First time staying at a Regency internationally.

Pros

-Amazing service: From the second we walked into the hotel everyone was kind and accommodating. My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary and they went the whole nine yards to feel like we were celebrated.

-Club room: I've never been in a Hyatt club before and it was definitely worth it. Free breakfast, cool space, and great place to go after adventuring for the day for snacks and refreshments.

-Other perks: Fun giant screen in the lobby where they play concerts or live games. Saw Spain lose (unfortunate) in soccer while in the nice lobby bar.

Cons

-Location: Not close to the downtown area. However, I consider this a minor inconvenience - the hotel is right next to a Metro line that connects directly into the city. Plenty of access to taxis and Ubers as well.

Initially I was disappointed that the Grand Hyatt Barcelona was entirely booked. I can say (although inexperienced) that this was the best hotel experience I've ever had. Kudos to the hotel and the staff!

Hotel: as expected with hyatt you get a high quality room and top class service. The rooms are in good shape, clean and tidy. The staff is charming and accomodating. The next Metro Station is also just 5 minutes away. As always, top class with hyatt.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Barcelona and was very impressed. The hotel is open, modern, and impeccably clean. The staff was exceptional, ensuring an unforgettable experience. The rooms were comfortable with modern amenities, including a surprisingly large TV. The highlight was undoubtedly the views, which offered stunning panoramas of the city and the surrounding mountains. I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Barcelona.

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, but it's about a 30-minute Metro ride to the city center, which might feel a bit far.

As a Globalist member, I used a Suite Upgrade Award and successfully got upgraded to a suite. They also added an extra single bed without any additional charges.

The lounge offers limited food options, but the space is large and very comfortable. Red and white wine, as well as beer, are available all day.

The breakfast is average in quality.

Overall, this hotel treats its members well, and the owner seems generous. If you're planning to explore the city, the location may not be ideal. However, it's a great choice if you're heading to the airport or catching a cruise.

Not the worst but not the best. Checked in to get to our room and find water leaking through the ceiling. They ‘upgraded’ us to a room with Club lounge access but weren’t willing to give us access to the Club lounge. Eventually they conceded and we gained access on the second night of the stay.
The location is convenient for the metro but is relatively far from the town centre. It’s very convenient for the airport.
The rooms are comfortable and beds are big.
Service from the staff is very Spanish, don’t expect the world and you won’t be disappointed.
The room was great value on points so can’t complain too much.
