We tried tasting menu and it was spectacular! The food was amazing, with delicious starters, mains and desert. All was served in a french style. Before each dish the Chef describes it (what’s inside, where the dish comes from) and the wine he recommends to it.
I want to especially highlight the fish and the desert we ate. The last one was a modified cheesecake.

The literal translation of 'undiscovered gem'.
Except for those of us in the know. Fantastic food cooked by Jesús who has a fascinating background if you ask. I pop in now and then for a cafe and his delicious interpretation of scrambled eggs on toast. Menu del dia is always good, and the dinner menu is exquisite.
All ingredients are from Barceló market, and he varies seasonally. Bistro Barceló won a gourmet award for most sustainable restaurant. Recommended!

This one is a must go spot whenever I visit Madrid. The food is amazing, the bistro and its service are impeccable, and they hands down have the best tinto de verano I have ever had. I strongly recommend this little hidden gem inside Mercado Barceló!

Jesús, the chef of this tiny eatery on the lower level of the Mercado Barceló, really knows his way around the kitchen. Its a hidden gem you need to make a reservation for. No casually strolling in for lunch because all the seats are reserved. The berenjena al horno rellena was fabulous as was the pasta fresca. My friend and I will be back! Chef speaks English, German, and Portuguese.  Price wise, two glasses of wine, two appetizers, 2 mains, dessert, expresó, 22.00€ each. Perfect.

Such a great experience and lovely food. The owner and chef Jesus was very attentive and welcoming. Really amazing croquetes and veil with mango curry sauce. Highly, highly recommend.
