I recently visited the Almoina Archaeological Museum in Valencia, and it was a fascinating journey through the city's rich history. Located in the heart of the old town, this museum is literally a window to the past - its glass floor allows visitors to walk above remarkably preserved Roman ruins.
The museum's layout is well-designed, guiding visitors chronologically through Valencia's history from its Roman foundation through the Visigothic and Islamic periods. The exhibits are informative and engaging, with clear explanations in multiple languages.

Bargain visit at only 2 Euro each. This is a wonderful experience, I never  imagined  witnessing Roman ruins in Valencia. Everything was amazing and a lot of skill has been used in the preservation and display of the ruins. Just fantastic.

An absolutely must-see place on the map of Valencia. Lovers of Roman artifacts and archaeological excavations will be satisfied :) The fantastic arrangement of space leaves a lasting impression.

Wow this place was a fabulous find. It an achalogical dig back thousands of years ago, there’s some amazing roads, paths, buildings, there video and well as plaques so you can really see what it would have looked like. We went on a Thursday in July and it was free. It was spotlessly clean, staff were friendly but didn’t speak English but we got by with our best Spanish and finger pointing. All information was written in Spanish and English which was brilliant. There were steps and ramps so I’m pretty sure a wheelchair and pushchair could get around. There were toilets but no cafe.
Definitely worth a visit, I will definitely be taking family when they come to visit.
