We ordered menu del día- worth the price but I expected more.

I was still very satisfied with the meal and the restaurant but the main dishes were not impressive or ‘wow’. Standard quality flavor I would say. Still recommended to try!

We had a fantastic experience at Ikaitz! The atmosphere was refined but comfortable, service was friendly, and food was all excellent. They walked us through recommendations for both food and wine and we were pleased with every dish. The desserts were all beautifully prepared and the best we’ve had on our trip. The anchovies starter was a specific standout and after gushing about the quality, we were gifted a tin on our way out. Highly recommend!

We went to Ikaitz to celebrate our first anniversary after reading the positive reviews.

- For a starter we had one of the specials - a carpaccio with cherry tomatoes - this dish was tasty but not overwhelming.
- For mains we had the meat. I had the duck which was tough - though still tasty because the peaches, cranberries and sweet potato cream that accompanied were very well made. My partner had the roasted lamb with the pear chutney which was flawless - sumptuously tender and delicious.
- For dessert we had the white chocolate egg which was unique and had rich flavors.
- To pair with the food we had the Izadi wine which was recommended by the waiter and was right on point.

To sum-up, most of dishes were very good to excellent, with sophisticated combination of flavors, high-quality ingredients and aesthetic presentation. The main reason I didn’t rate the restaurant 5 stars is the duck, which should not have been chewy; as well as the the carpaccio, which its price was higher than the mains and didn’t match the quality and quantity of the dish.
Apart from the food the service was fine but not remarkable and the atmosphere was pleasant, with a crowd that seemed to be mostly tourists.

Probably one of the best places in the city where you eat high end food for affordable prices. The customers are locals who know what they came for. An absolutely warm and helpful staff brings you the authenticity with generations of family members that puts their best effort for your food experience.

Deserves a Michelin star! AMAZING food, decor, service! We went on a Friday night and were so impressed we booked for Sunday! Monkfish, prawns, duck and candied strawberries in coconut foam bathtub were stand outs!
