I will remember this meal and this boutique hotel for a long time. I still remember the taste of the meal, the atmosphere, the staff and the exquisite service to this day. We drove almost half hour for our reservation to this restaurant and it was so worth it! We had the set meal with wine pairing and this restaurant is one of the best! Highly recommend!

Superb tasting menu and service.  Beats many of the Michelin star restaurants on our trip to Spain and Portugal. The restaurant and hotel are hidden gems in La Rioja!

Fantastic traditional fare. The set menus (3 options) are good value ranging from 30-39 Euros pp in October 2024. The chuleton (T-bone) to share was lovely - you can cook it to your preference using the hot stone provided.

We were visiting from NYC and meeting our family for a special family reunion. We were a group of 15 (2 grandparents, 8 adults and 7 teens/young adults) all traveling from different places.

We decided to have our first dinner together in Allegar and opted for the “Experiencia Allegar” full tasting menu.  It was a treat.

Dish after dish the chef did not disappoint. Consensus from the group was that the “Tomata de temporada” and “Rodaballo e hinojo” were the favorites, but all were outstanding.  The restaurant has a very nice selection of specially blended wines (Seleccion Especial Santa Maria) that are not to be missed. The restaurant is just 1 year old and if I had to guess will eventually get a Michelin star.
