The only question is (still) why this outstanding and into every detail-curated hotel is not a five star on Expedia. Materials, furnitures, wallpapers, colours, textiles, curtains, carpets, shapes, forms, dining area ambiance, room concepts, exterior, location… everything is five star.

Not to mention the service, the warm and welcoming smiles and “within-five seconds we solve everything for you” style that makes Villa Alma outstanding.

went for hotel breakfast and the cold section were full of flies (dead and alive). the staffs were just standing there not doing anything about it. i only dared to eat the dishes that were warm which was jst scramble eggs (way too salty), boiled eggs, bacon and some sauteed zuchinni feta. the staffs were friendly in general but hygiene was really poor.

This is the place to stay when visiting Visby. Right in the middle of town and near the seafront. Splendid breakfast and a nice outdoor bar for a drink in the evening.

Charming staff. Perfect location. Tasteful. Comfortable. Menu is international with Swedish touches. Eg lunch today was sushi duck breast or crispy tofu. If you are longing for fermented herring, rye bread and salty liquorice ice cream you may need to look elsewhere. It aims at a Swedish clientele.
