Very nice weekend getaway, small but very nice spa, good options given the size!
The location right by the water is amazing, the fact that you can walk out of the restaurant and you are on the beach walking off a food coma in 2 minutes is amazing.
The rooms look nice and have very nice amenities but they haven’t been dusted at all, just enough on the surface.
A little heads up for more dust allergic/sensitive people.

Sweden 🇸🇪 Varberg  - Hotels

Varberg Kusthotell is a lovely spa hotel where we stayed in late July to celebrate a few birthdays. Our room was very spacious, featuring a dedicated kitchenette, living room, and a beautiful view of the ocean. We loved our time at the spa, especially the sauna ritual with friends. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options that everyone enjoyed. We'll definitely be back!

We brought our dog who was welcomed with open arms with bowls for water and food, also an extra blanket for him. The hotel room was nice and a short distance to the outside where he could go pee, which was great!
The only downside was that he was not welcomed at breakfast so we had to sit outside on wet chairs and tables, but we where lucky that it didn’t rain whilst we ate :/ But otherwise very nice spots for walking and swimming in the ocean.

1.  Spa avd ok. 36 degrees advertised in Spa is too low - should be 37.5. But the advertised 36 was incorrect anyway - probably 34-35 degrees. And no water or air pump in spa - just lazy bubbles.
2. Floors in spa dangerously slippy .
3. Water pressure in all showers in spa too low.
4. Salt water pool excellent
5. If you take the lift to floor 3 to find room 1312 there is no sign on the floor to show which direction the room is in - how can a hotel be in operation for years without this being fixed?
6. No fire escape  directions prominently displayed anywhere.
7. No fridge in room
8. Supe meal för sek 545 with 3 dishes consisted of minimal portions - when I objected to being served a light lunch instead of a full dinner I was given an extra meal - as can be seen in the enclosed photo the fish (Röding) was uncooked.  The starter was a deep fried!? piece of bread and 11 very small prawns. 150gr fish and a potato pie is not a main course. Dessert had a nice toffee ice cream topping but the rest was inedible.
9. On top of this we paid sek 145 (140:- advised by service) for less than a half! glas of cheap Argentinian wine.
10. Why would a hotel on it's own grounds charge guests 120:- extra to park their car? Unless the hotel is so badly managed that they have to take any cheap shots they can take to increase turnover.

Wasn't worth the 4 hour drive there and back home - even if it had been free and we didn't get done for sek 5000:- för one night.

Change out the whole management including the chief cook and the marketing team and re-vitalise the business to provide excellent service with excellent value for money.

Very nice location and lovely spa. Walking distance to beach and several restaurants. Unfortunately no AC in our room and as it faced south it was like a sauna. We tried to open the windows but they could only be angled slightly. Also there was a party nearby that disturbed our sleep.
