We booked the “city in motion”-tour. This really was interesting. Dan gave us a good insight and told about the old city, new city whilst driving around. He knew the history and told about the changes, the move to the new city and knew a lot of backgrounds through his long personal involvement. It gave us a good insight and understanding of Kiruna. Especially the story of the moving of some old houses and the church were very interesting.
It is always good to get know where you are staying and understand what’s going on.

Bizarre but well worth a visit. The city is currently being moved several kilometres to give way for the industry. Rarely seen, well organized

Omg! What a great experience at this place i had. I m a crazy snow lover, so I have to experience this place during winter. Did dog sled and created so beautiful memories ❤️ We tried reindeer burger too, which is only available during specific season. But its hard to get lucky to see northern lights but may be next time in summer we can plan for it 😀 But really for snow lover, must go place is this. But get really well prepare your warm clothes and advice to look temperature in advance before packing 😊

Interesting city because of its mining activities and the relocation of the whole city.
I'm not sure whether such a quick and yet perhaps very radical renewal of the living situation isn't too quick for some people in the city.
