went on a "semla food tour" in Malmö and bellevue conditori caught our eyes with their unique twist on semla's. overall, enjoyed the different flavors but was a bit underwhelmed with the taste.

this semla was tasty but was very sweet and tasted more like a donut than a semla. the consistency/texture was not like a traditional semla.

this semla was a fun flavor! it essentially just tasted like a princess cake in a semla shape.

// blueberry semla //
this semla was a regular semla but with blueberry frosting in the middle. again, it was good but was very sweet and did not taste like a traditional semla.

overall, i wish the semla's kept some of the original semla textures or flavors instead of tasting like donuts in a semla shape. also, if the flavors were more authentic vs. being very sugary. but it was still good to try nevertheless!

Nice bakery with lots of interesting stuff to taste. Staff was helpful. No place to sit inside but several benches right outside for when you visit during warmer weather. Brought home three of their special semlor, but there was loads more to test. It was amazing! Best variations of the traditional semla I have ever had. I usually only like traditional semla but all three from Bellevue Conditori were so well balanced, really skillfully done. Im very impressed.

Amazing bakery, small store with a large variety of amazing cakes, bread, and many delicious products, with a place to sit outside.
